Dragonflight alpha/beta thread

No sign of life from the Taunka and Frostborn ? Considering that the Gorlocs and Tuskar have settled the Dragon Isles, one would think the faction races from Northrend would have at least gotten a few NPCs

I hope we get female Taunka models finally. Taunka should already be a Horde Allied race.

I suspect the Taunka would end up being a customization option, like the Darkfallen, over a playable race in their own right.

For the first time in years, the login screen will depict a place in the new continent. Both BfA and Shadowlands had locations that were only relevant in the pre-patch/intro experience. I always found that weird.

Lol no screw her. Azurathel is much better. Once again the alliance gets the much better character/leader.

We don’t even know them yet, I fail to see what makes one better than the other.

I’m fine with this, I personally want the races that’s similar to each other to “just” be customization so players can mix and match.
Also I hope this means we can finally see some Taunka in the Horde story.

yeah Tanuka would fit in well and could probably teach the Horde more about fishing so they can depend more on that and less on hunting so they don’t require to go into ashenvale as often.

Has anyone heard if hunters get any unique interactions in Ohn’ahran Plains? Since Ohn’ahra’s spear was the survival weapon in Legion.

Or if any tauren characters have anything to say about friendly centaur? Because the tauren have kind of been hunted by them for centuries, they’d probably comment on seeing a group that doesn’t want to do that.

What are the chances that the last Primalist standing will use Tyr’s knowledge to become a Dragon Aspect controlling Sand while forcing the Water Aspect on Murozond?

Time is a River not just an Hourglass.

A scattered Timeline is an Hourglass filled with Sand but a converged Timeline is a River of Water.

And yes I’m expecting Murozond to become Soo-Wan from GW2 basically. The Dragonvoid does resemble Murozond after all. All he needs is to become possessed by the Tidemother(whom I suspect to be Azeroth the Earthmother who gouged out her eyes Mu’sha and An’she whom I suspect to be Azshara and Xal’atath not Elune and the Blue Child/Winter Queen).

Of course that would mean we have to face 5 Dragon Aspects before facing him: Malygos(Ice), Deathwing(Fire), Primalist(Sand), Nightmare Ysera(Plants) and Decay Alexstrasza(there’s a reason the Gnoll Decatriarch Wratheye serving Decay escapes with her life after we beat her in the Dungeon).

Timeline Convergence means that it might not be our versions of the Aspects except for that one Primalist.

Of course there is the question of whether Tidemother Azeroth is corrupted by the Old Gods to the Void or is infact Zereth Khaos(Cornerstone Void) and the Void(Khaos in Greek) is infact the true face of the Great Dark Beyond with the Cosmic Realm of Shadow being another Cosmic Realm just as Aluneth’s home Realm is the Cosmic Realm of Order distinct from the Great Dark Beyond.

Merithra helped end the feud between dragon and centaur. She fought with one of their leaders against something/someone its not said what/who.

Also the centaur reconfirm their existence prior to the War of the Ancients. Im still not sure if they are a seperate earlier love child union or if they are the original centaur and the centaur we know were centaur 2.0.

In addition to Wrathion and Sabellian there’s also a faction of black dragonkin called the Endbringers that are loyal to Deathwing and vying for control. And it seems the player can support them, too. At the very least you do quests and world events for them.

Also from what I’ve heard you do indeed earn rep with both Wrathion and Sabellian, they don’t lock the other one out (at least in this build?)

On the notion of Decay Alexstrasza: Imagine if Decatriarch Wratheye was sent back in Time to corrupt a version of Alexstrasza right after Galakrond’s demise?

I’m guessing no when BFA and SL didn’t have one, but is there a special hearthstone to go to the capital city in DF?

There were some Tol’vir in Northrend that were defeated by the Nerubians. While most of the Tol’vir guarded Ahn’Qiraji and Uldum.

As Kohnila said, I could see the Refti be the ancestors of the Sethrak that were sent to help guard Uldir. As to the Sethraks connection to Sethraliss? /shrug.

Maybe Sethraliss took in the cursed Refti near Vol’dun or she was tasked by Freya to protect the Uldir seal in the area, which she tried to do during the Troll-Aqir War. We know Freya befriended many Wild Gods in her travels around Azeroth. Even ones that are not part of the “Ancient Guardians” subset, such as Yu’lon.

I think it would be fine if the Sethrak were cursed Titanforged. We know that Sethraliss knew about G’huun, Uldir and all that. She died trying to defend the seal from Mythrax.

We know that the curse of flesh affected the titanforged differently. With respect of certain Vrykul tribes, it mutated and thus making their children small and weak in comparison (aka Humans). So maybe something like that happened as well to the Refit. There is quite a bit of time between the curse of flesh running rampart and the troll - aqir War. Thousands of Years at least.

You farm rep for both at the same time. The allegiance quest is a WQ suggesting that you can switch your main support each week. The side you pick gives you additional reputation over the other.

Their followers will express excitement or disappointment depending on your main allegiance.

I’m late on giving my opinion for this, but I don’t like the login screen. I prefer the login screens to have portals or gateways of some sort. They’ve always symbolized that you’re passing through them to enter the game, making them immersive in a way. I make exceptions for WotLK and Cata because the dragons are cool to see there. BFA’s login screen was awful.

This was rather adorable.
