Dragon Riding = Water Striders 2.0

Why would I hide? I know I am right. The game has devolved into a daily and world quest simulator because of flying mounts. Any efforts made to nerf them is a positive adjustment for any content blizzard desires to put in the game.

That’s not why WQs were added. WQs were added because people hated dailies. It’s ok to not like them but they have nothing to do with flying.

it would truly be a shame if that were to happen. Forum whining killing another potentially amazing feature because you wanna get your 5 daily and 6 world quests done with no stress, not seeing how this kind of content is the lowest effort possible content Blizzard can put in the game.

That change in flight in WoD was made after an announcement of no flight planned and release of the Twitter cam expansion. The .1 expansion. Which wasn’t too far into the expansion. It was still somewhat enjoyable at that point before reality set in on what a piss poor expansion it was.

They have literally everything to do with flying. They are in the game because of flying. If flying wasn’t in the game Blizzard would have to work harder to design content that was actually good.

I tried telling him it was before the dropped tier. I think this guy either wasn’t around then or lives in his own world.

No they didn’t. I was here when they added them. And they were the result of people not liking having to go to a NPC to get quests. You can’t rewrite history to fit your agenda.

You speak the truth. I have been playing since Warcraft was beta. I have seen every expansion and change implemented. Good or bad and the subscriber base eventually wins. I was hardcore and now I am casual. Simplicity will always win because people crave it.

I was around then. I’ve been playing the game since 2005. Flying had very little to do with why my friends quit during WoD.

Anecdotal evidence.

Your evidence is just as anecdotal as mine.

I can only speak for myself but I never bothered getting WoD flight because the expansion itself didn’t justify the effort. Pathfinder practically fell in my lap for the following Legion though because that was a blast to play.

Stating what actually happened and what was openly requested is not providing anecdotal evidence. It was the reaction of a very vocal and passionate playerbase.

A very vocal minority of people complaining on the forums is not a majority. People were already checked out before pathfinder because the expansion was garbage, flying or not.

If it were a minority, they would not have done a complete 180 on flying 2 weeks after removing it. Nice try.

I got WoD flight for one reason. 99% of my gameplay is leveling alts in the world. I think I have done over a dozen warriors alone.I delete and start over.

I barely touch dungeons and I don’t raid, mythic+ or PvP. It’s why this topic is SO important to me. For everyone else, it’s a bit of what they do on the way to their REAL game. For me it’s most of my game…

So they added it back and the amount of people who quit still kept nose diving to the point where Blizzard stopped reporting active subscriptions?

Blizzard gets more direct reports and feedback than just the forums or your friends.

Yep because they added it back with a monkey paw. Sure you get what you say you want but the exact opposite of the way you wanted it.

sorry guy but when we’re hearing from CREDIBLE sources (that arent you) that our mounts are grounded, yeah…we aint taking YOUR word over wowheads…sorry

“Blizzard has confirmed that you will only be able to “fly” in the Dragon Isles using the new Dragonriding system. Your broader mount collection will act only as ground mounts in the new zones.”
