I don’t doubt that some players genuinely have motion sickness severe enough for it to affect them to that degree, but I do doubt the numbers we are seeing on GD.

Based on GD I am sure there are some that aren’t, but you’d be surprised how many people deal with motion sickness at one point or another when playing video games.
I would say pay attention more to what they are saying and requesting around them saying they get motion sickness. If they are using motion sickness just to say the Dragon Riding is a bad feature and should be removed then I would take they are dealing with motion sickness with a grain of salt. However, if they are saying they have motion sickness and trying to find alternatives that will allow them to continue to play and enjoy the expansion while allowing those who enjoy Dragon Riding to continue to enjoy Dragon Riding. Good chance they are actually dealing with motion sickness.

If dragon riding didn’t exist they would be complaining about having no flying. Happens every expansion. At this point it’s painfully obvious that Blizzard will not open EZ flying in a new expansion until those zones are no longer relevant. You would think after five expansions players would figure this out.
Flappy bird is not fun. I hated the world quest and I hate dragon riding, People like different thing. Everyone does not have the same skill set. You find it fun I don’t.
I glad others love it, more power to you. the other option is already in game they just have to let people use it if the don’t like dragon riding. It’s not like we want them to scrap it and start over, Just give the options that are already there. Choice is not a bad thing.

You are probably correct by your lumping of “they” here, but not for why you think you are. The motion sickness is a real thing and has nothing to do with the “hardness” or “EZness” of dragon riding. It has everything to do with the motion, lighting, graphics, and speed aspects of the dragon riding causing extremely painful headaches and nausea while being toted as a major pillar of advancement in this expansion. Anyone who is asking for the removal of dragon riding completely because it’s “too hard” or they “don’t like it” can pound sand. Note, this is different than just asking for an option we already have else where being included alongside dragon riding for whatever reason.
Those, that I have seen, who are legit suffering, are not complaining about dragon riding at all. Many are, in fact, sad/disappointed they can’t do dragon riding. They are just afraid that dragon riding is so tied into this expansion’s progression there is no way to advance without it. Similar to how the garrisons were with advancing in WoD. Why they are seeking alternatives to the dragon riding.
So yeah, they are probably the same people who want flying from the start, but they probably want flying be it regular or dragon riding. They just also want to be able to not have their lunch come up all over their keyboard, and be able to progress in the expansion.
But honestly, I don’t get people who are so against people requesting features that are already in game, that are already said to be added being added when it doesn’t detract from your gaming, but can improve others. Why are people so against having more options? It’s not like you won’t get them as well.

The answer is in the question, GD will hate literally anything and everything. If everyone was given free game time for the rest of their lives people would be like “this is so stupid why do they not give me the choice to pay if I want, I enjoyed having to pay because it let me stay away from this game” or something like that. People will hate just to hate 
exactly. nothing like made up forms of oppression to empower ones own sad unaccomplished life.

Sorry, Guccimeatpie… you shouldn’t “fix” something that isn’t broken. Especially when your fix involves yanking out the only aspect that requires the slightest thought
