You can still click a flight path and get a coffee.
Maybe learn how to maintain thrill of the skys and vigor won’t be an issue for you

I like it and I would like to see a hover ability added to it. No movement or regen of vigor while in hover mode you just hover. It would be great for that emergency bio run or whatever without the need to find a safe landing place. JMO

I’ll go one better. I have some chars on the east coast…I used to live in that time zone. I am not there anyone and was trying out dragon riding on that server…the lag really really affects this flying and how smooth it works.
If vigor wasn’t an issue, then maybe I could forgive the lag a bit but man…I can’t realistically play on those servers with flying etc, and I don’t want to pay to move those chars. It’s a rough life.

It’s not like they took away flightpaths, they still have em.
It’s handy for that one spot in northern Thaldrazius where there are a couple world quests if you don’t feel like flying. Aside from that one though they are pretty useless.
As for me im relieved i can actually hover and control the mount without constant movement. And use one of my many collected mounts to fly…

I spend most of my time playing WRATH . Mostly I am a raid logger now never was before , Its not that there is not lots to do but its all boring stuff . Did not like farming rep now they just named it something else .

Use the flight paths if you dont like it. I had to cook some soup so I took the flight path and got a cup of coffee during the flight instead of dragon riding down.

Your preconceptions of dragons are strange. Also the dragon riding mounts are more like dragonkin, except for the drake. But really, throwing haterade because it doesn’t bite or do anything other than fly is ridiculous. Especially since you’d probably be on here whining if you died via someone elses DR mount toasting or chomping you. Be careful what you wish for.

I love dragon riding, and it’s easily in my top 5 favorite new features in dragonflight.
If it sucks for you, fine. But why try to ruin it for everyone else?

I play gatherers, and even with all of the glyphs and the gatherer perk, I do run into vigor issues. Not much, but enough that I can’t stop for every node. They are too close together. When every gatherer is ignoring the basic ones because we run out of vigor, it’s…annoying. I can fly the entire zone and only find severite nodes because everyone ignores them.
Personally I prefer the increased control of OG flight to the interaction of dragon riding, but that is my preference. The only solution that really makes sense is to, eventually, make both versions fully available. Then everyone picks the mode they like, or the one that works best for a given solution, and maybe 99% of us can be happy? (Yes, there are some people who will ALWAYS be unhappy about something.)
