It was fun the first week. Now i just fly to the bearest fp, use that to get where im going, and thrn go do something for half an hour and forget i was even playing

Imagine that you order a Pepsi at a restaurant and sit down to enjoy your beverage.
Then the guy at the next table over, who is enjoying a Dr Pepper, begins heckling you for being an idiot who enjoys the wrong drink. He say’s you’re an idiot who doesn’t appreciate cherry flavoring and can’t handle the subtle tones of multiple flavors layered onto each other. He keeps going: You’re a bad soda drinker for choosing to enjoy Pepsi, you just hate that other people like Dr Pepper more, you only want Pepsi so you can cheat at drinking through straws unlike Dr Pepper enjoyers who EARN drinking through straws.
Does that sound stupid? Perhaps nonsensical?
Keep telling people who don’t like dragonflight their bad players who don’t deserve regular flying: Because you don’t sound anything like that, and they deserve to be insulted for liking something different than what you do.

Dragon riding has been extremely well received. 
You can still take a fight path to booty bay, and many other places. Enjoy that coffee.
Hard disagree. I love Dragon Riding. I actually hope the system gets applied to other mounts and enabled for the rest of the game outside of the Dragon Isles. Go from Mt. Hyjal to Thunder Bluff in like 10 seconds.

I thought earning flying every expansion was gross but this is an even more disgusting money grab.
Here’s how blizzard designs everything these days.

Make something decent in the game (no home runs have been hit for years)

Figure out how to make it really bad at launch.

Have players “earn” the decent gameplay that quickly becomes tedious and boring and people have their psychological preference used against them.
(People place higher value on things they earn regardless of their actual value)
I heard next expansion we are getting squirrel riding but your squirrel has one leg and can’t walk straight until you find 50 acorns.
It’s so easy to convince people something is good when you nerf it at the beginning because it’s a trick.
Dragon riding is not that thrilling you have been fooled.
Bring back the griffons

Flying has had no changes for years, and you call us being able to ride through the air at fast speeds a bad thing. GTFO I want Dragon riding in the rest of the world.

the glyphs are very clearly designed as a tool to get people acclimated to dragon flying, hence why you actually need to use dragon flying to get them and why it takes like 45 minutes to an hour to get all of them, not too long but long enough to get used to it. It’s not “nerfed from the beginning” its literally the tutorial stage.
no one says it’s “thrilling”, they say its engaging. which compared to hitting auto-run then afking for 10 minutes, its objectively more engaging then old flying.
the fact that so many replies to these “dragon flying sucks” threads is people saying they enjoy it means that, by and large, people enjoy it. YOU not liking something doesn’t mean EVERYONE doesn’t like it. you are in the minority here, and for good reason. Old flying is slow, boring and serves only to slow down game play. I’d MUCH rather use dragon flying to get around over old flying, even if they were the same speed.

I’ve never seen someone say ” I have been tricked” in so many paragraphs before.
“Acclimated” = blizzard thinks you don’t deserve the full feature at the start. If everyone was given dragon riding at the start of the expac without the talents and vigor, they would have a better time but also see it for what it is, wasted dev time.

I’ve never seen someone say “my opinion is the only valid one” in so many ways.
Basically every game that has ever been created eases players into new content, hell even dark souls, a notoriously “no hand holding” game, doesn’t give you access to everything from the start.
Question, why would you even play a game that you need to level up before you get the “full experience” if literally 45 minutes is too long before unlocking everything? A new player has at least an hour before unlocking basic features like talents or dungeons, yet somehow that’s ok? Pick a lane, either unlocking basic stuff is ok or it isn’t.
