Dragon flying is great. I can cross the map quickly and has dynamic game play. My harvesters are both ore/herb and vigor very seldom is an issue, and I harvest every single node I see.
The bad: It’s work. You have to pay attention to what you are doing and interact with your game. Old flying, on a long flight, you could walk away from your keyboard without issues.
I also miss hovering.
Lol, I’m a handicapped old man and I can still manage to fly around the continent without stopping.

I personally find that dragon riding isn’t all that bad, but I’m coming from playing a lot of flight sims in my younger years as a gamer. I find that most of the folks that call this flight system clunky haven’t really played that many flight sim games in the past. I do agree that it is clunky for many of those that aren’t really used to flying something on a mouse and keyboard/gamepad setup.
Maybe there’s someone out there that could start giving lessons for those who can’t fly their dragon all that well.
I dunno, I like it overall. Good compromise between the fly/no fly camps. Fits the setting well too.
To each their own I suppose.

It’s pretty meh. The dragons aren’t very dynamic, I mean would it kill them to flap their wings? It’s also a total bore to see the same dragons everywhere.

Dragon riding is fun, but I miss having my mounts that I spent a ton of time collecting in the open world. I miss flight form with my druid harvesting flowers.
Dragonriding is easy. It’s literally 2 buttons.
I was so looking forward to the dragon flying, but I gotta agree. It sucks. I hate it. I wish we could earn flying with our regular flying mounts. Let the people who want the glyphs use the DF dragons, and let those who just want to fly around and check other things out use the flying mounts they used before DF, or even just let them use the dragons they already have from previous expansions but don’t let them collect the glyps with them. Make the glyphs DF dragons only.
It’s the blizzard way of doing things: make everything more complicated so people will have to do it longer.
Everyone likes flying? Ok let’s make it more complicated
Everyone likes raiding? Ok let’s make it more complicated
Everyone likes mythic plus? Ok more complexity
They can’t invent anything new, and they can only overly complicate things OTHER DEVS who have long since left blizzard invented

Dragonriding IS a pain until your first toon maxes sigils. That is fair.
After that its crazy easier and better (speed/gathering efficiency)

BFA = Takes days and came very late
Shadowlands = Takes days and came very late
DF = Takes hour or 2 tops and came right away .
Dude come on DR is way way way much better than pathfinder ,yes it is bad but only if you dont have all the glyphs and even after that “sometimes” you will get stuck very very rare “sometimes” but its still way much better than finding yourself dead in a ditch where u cant reach and have to take rezz sickness .
DR is amazing. I only have two complaints.
can u reference this ? cuz i have yet to read this one. what people had, in vanilla and BC and in LK, was get max level and buy flying. it was straight forward.
Yeah because that’s when the game was new and good.
Blizzard has released nothing innovative since then except mythic+ which is frankly getting stale.
