Dragon mounts carry over with character transfers?

If im moving my char to another bnet account?

Mounts and pets do not transfer across battlenet accounts. You can cage and move pets that way but mounts not much you can do.

You already have another thread about this up. It was in particular to the Dragon Glyphs but it was stated a couple of times over in that thread that mounts attached to the account do not transfer and it’s pretty cut and dry in the article I linked you there as well. In fact you had decided in that thread that you would lose too much and decided against the transfer.

If the account is connected on the same email, and you are just moving the character from say WoW 1 the Wow 2, then yes, you will keep your mounts.

If it is a completely separate account with different email, you will lose your mounts.
With the dragon riding it might hold because you got the achievements for the glyphs, but I don’t know if other characters will benefit with separate emails.

Two separate accounts, from what they say in their General Discussion post. Which is kind of funny that no one in the previous thread said anything about “try and see what happens.”

Also - I have never had the pleasure of running across your guild in-game, but I love the name lol

As stated in your previous thread, anything that is ACCOUNT BOUND (mounts, pets, achievements, heirlooms, toys) and that includes Dragonriding mounts / glyphs, stay with the original BattleNet account and not with the character.

If you want them on the destination account you’ll have to earn them again on another character and then they become account bound for all of your characters to use.

hmmm tbh I wouldnt stress, it takes like 30 mins to unlock your dragons and zoom about to collect the glyphs anyway.

But like everyone said, its going to stay with the original account

I think there concern if they opened everything up already and transfer they might not have any dragon mounts to use until they start to level an alt on that new battlenet account.

Should possibly open all that stuff up on an alt on the new battlenet first.

Well thats what I mean, it wont transfer so youd have to do it again to relearn it

Yes but if they already did the quests that got them the dragon mounts I do not think you can get them again that way. So that is why I said about moving an alt who has yet to do them first. I believe all the dragon mounts are from quests as you level up to 70.

yeah youd have to relearn on an alt, but your going to have to repurchase df on the new bnet anyway so youd either already have alts you can work or potentially a boost you can use. Would seem like alot of kerfuffle tho tbh.

Your right, not something I would consider or have a reason to do. But at least this will give the OP stuff to consider

Actually, you cannot transfer with caged pets.

Your right but you can mail them to an alt that will not be transferring. Then after you move mail them back and relearn them. Just have to make sure the toon transferring is not holding them and only will work if you stay on the same server.
