Yeah I checked last night and a customer service person told me to unlink and link it again. I’m not sure if it worked yet. I won’t know until I get home today from work.
Mine finally came through.
i get the feeling that people are misunderstanding the linking process, and that this is their issue:
I did the linking and unlinking thing on both Battle.net and Twitch, but no cigar yet. Hoping for something by tomorrow morning.
Still nothing. Blizzard closed my ticket. I’ve done everything they have asked from unlinking to relinking to double checking. I’m connected and I’ve watched the 4 hours.
I’ve been waiting since the 15th. How much longer must I wait?
I’m sorry, but this incompetence is frustrating. This lack of support is frustrating. Do your job! I did mine!
you’ve already caused one thread to be locked with your snark and complaining.
if there’s a problem, it will need to be tracked down and fixed.
getting snippy won’t expedite your issue.
getting frustrated won’t fix things any faster.
just relax.
Look I made a ticket. I waited patiently and my ticket got closed. Then if almost to mock me it wasn’t even about what I made the ticket about. I’ve contacted both companies about the issue. Twitch was very nice about it and told me on their end everything was done correctly. Blizzard closed my ticket and gave me articles that weren’t about my issue with the ticket I made. I know now they don’t do anything to check.
I’m almost 100% sure that the linking and unlinking process triggered a 7 day cooldown even though the customer service people here said no. It’s the only thing that makes sense to me.
But at this point it’s not about the pet. It’s will they mishandle the mount?
I don’t know who’s at fault between Twitch, Blizzard or myself? I’m just desperately trying to understand why? And so far I’m only getting awnsers from two of the three parties. So sure I’m not happy about it, and yes it’s not right to take it out on Blizzard. It’s just they are being the least cooperative here, and I’m 4 days in here waiting with basically radio silence.
This can happen when people get too wordy.
Regardless, when ticket times are running this high, it’s not unusual to get directed towards self-help options with the initial ticket submission.
If that was the case, it would have triggered a cooldown for everyone, not just for you.
Reconnecting has been the solution for other people.
If the item is showing as claimed on your Twitch account, then there’s no cooldown to reset.
It’s not a matter of being uncooperative.
It’s not a game-breaking issue.
You can still play the game.
It’s not time sensitive.
Blizzard can’t just drop everything because you feel like your issue is more important than everyone elses.
I tried offering assistance in the other thread, but the only information you would give is that you “did all the troubleshooting”, without being specific about what you’ve actually tried.
The only thing you mentioned here, is that you did a reconnection.
If it’s a bug which is causing it to not appear, QA needs to be made aware of it.
They will need specifics of which steps you have taken, in order to help narrow down the issue.
(writing a bug report with “it’s broken and i’m not getting any help and someone needs to fix this now before the mount is up for offer” is not productive, nor does it provide any information to work with)
Create a comprehensive yet TO THE POINT bug report, with all specific steps which were taken.
The fact that the issue seems to be affecting only a relatively small group of people would tend to indicate there is no widespread issue, based on the small number of complaints seen on the forums.
And if the issue isn’t affecting everybody, that would tend to indicate that the issue isn’t with either Twitch or Blizzard. If it was, the forums would be flooded with complaints.
All I know is I have claimed several dozen drops before. I’m aware of how to connect them. I always disable my ad blocks and clear my cookies. I’ve now quadruple checked that I am indeed linked. There’s nothing more for me to do. As I said before I have no reason not to suspect Blizzard in this. Every other Twitch drop was instant. Heck I contacted Twitch. I’ve done nothing wrong here. I just don’t know what to do other than wait. Like I said at this point I’m ironing it all out so I can actually get the Fel Drake.
I just don’t understand how they can mess up Twitch drops in general. They’re pretty straightforward at least on the users end.
As I said, I don’t know (and neither do you) that ‘they’ messed up anything. There have been about a dozen threads here that have mentioned Twitch or the Kite. About half of those mention not having received the pet yet. About half of those have since received the pet.
If it was widespread or systemic problem, I promise there would be exponentially more complaints.
I just wish they wouldn’t have closed my ticket. At least give me some measure of hope in all this. I know it’s a bug, but you feel left out in the cold. I’d be fine waiting if I knew that eventually a GM would just add the item to my list. It’s their data not Twitch’s after all. Twitch doesn’t generat the kite Blizzard does.
Was the ‘Still need help’ button available on that ticket? If so, did you click it? If not, did you open a new ticket referencing the closed ticket’s number, stating that you still needed help?
No, there wasn’t. All I got was a survey button. And links to very generic articles that really didn’t pertain to my issue.
So you didn’t follow up on the closed ticket.
I literally couldn’t. All I could do was a survey and read articles. It literally didn’t let me.
It literally tells me it’s an automated response.
You were unable to open a new ticket, referencing the closed ticket by number, telling them that you still needed help?
Nevermind I just checked and I have it.
It wasn’t there like 10 mins ago.
