How are people still pushing this non-issue.
WoD pretty much killed all arguments against warlock draenei.

Been there, done that.
Personally, i think it should get even whackier
Orc Demon Hunters
Dwarf Druids
Blood Elf Shamans
Anything that increases player freedom i’m up for
Disagree.
I choose races for cosmetic reasons (not racials nor lore, though the lore is still pretty cool).
I love all the Elf & Draenei races:
Night Elf
Troll (lore wise, the Night Elf comes from the Troll race)
Blood Elf
Void Elf
Nightborne
Draenei
Lightforged Draenei
On the occassion, I’ll play the other races but not as much as what I just listed.
Hey SNAPS HIS FINGERS TWICE NO! Bad death knight class that almost destroyed the world while enslaved the arthas. NO!
Hope this means they will open more and more race/class combos. Sure in current lore there are definitely unexplainable combos…but lore can be added for pretty much anything to exist, just takes some imagination.
Nothing “whacky” about “Dwarf Druids”. Lore wise, it makes sense. Wildhammer Dwarves have been around since Vanilla and a quest transition from the Night Elves to these Wildhammer Dwarves about preserving and nurturing a Sprite Darter creature existed in Vanilla.
There’s NO reason why Dwarves (specifically, the Wildhammer Dwarves) cannot be Druids.
I’ve advocated this for years.
So as long as all their forms are bears with guns. I am down.
Lore has always been highly malleable in Warcraft. Even in the RTS games, the story and history from 1 to 2 to 3 changes based on the needs of that particular game. War 1 & 2, the Horde is evil, conquering, blood thirsty. War 3 it was actually DEMONS, the Horde is actually honorable (except for those who like the demons). Undead are actually bad… and the demons.
WoW 1.0… undead aren’t totally bad, they’re just misunderstood! Some of them anyway. And they can call upon the light for… gameplay faction balance reasons
TBC completely ret-conned much of the RTS story about the horde & outland.
WotLK reinvented much of the Arthas and Undead Scourge that was told or hinted at in War 3
Countless lore elements change around and are extended/refined have happened for the entirety of the franchise.
Just proving my history invested in Dwarf Druids:
Individual choices.
To become Lightforged is an act of zealotry.
Who’s to say that a Draenei with their own individual experiences and personality who went through the Lightforging process would never have found that the Light didn’t give them the overwhelming power to defeat their enemies that they were seeking and start looking to other, more extreme sources and methods?
It doesn’t have to be a common choice or mindset, but you can never say that “no one would EVER do this!” as long as we’re playing individual characters. No race is a monolith.
Gnome Goblins
Blood Elf, Night Elf, Void Elves.
Dwarf Trolls.
Sir it isn’t that nobody cares, its that there is an undead paladin in the lore. It is quite literally established as a thing that is possible.
Tbh I think it stopped mattering so much when night elf mages became playable back in cata. You can apparently make any lore around different class and race combinations and it could make sense.
Mages were not welcome in teldrassil, it’s WHY BLOOD ELVES EXIST. The high elves were exiled from night elf society. Practicing arcane magic was met with death in teldrassil until a snap of the fingers it became okay again.
Now void elves are exiled by blood elves just like they were exiled by night elves. How was this okay with night elves is hilarious. HILARIOUS. If the writers cared for lore then the night elves would be their own faction at this point. After dealing with the corruption of the emerald dream the night elves should be vomiting at the very thought of void elves.
And also tbh im cool with it. It offers us more customization and choice.
Plus there are still plenty of race/class combinations that made sense but never came to be because it takes more effort to make it happen on Blizz side.
Anybody can be a shaman in lore. If you can bargain with the elements and make deals with them, then ANYBODY can be one.
I’m not sure why gnomes can’t be paladins yet either.
The Harvest Witches could barely use Nature Magic, it wasn’t until they got the Worgen curse did they gain full Druid powers.
Gnobblins
Blightvolves
Dwarlls
I dig it.
Wasnt Kiljaden a draenei demon? With fel magic? Is that really that big of a jump? Lightforged i get the disconnect, but there were tons of draenei serving the legion.
Technically he was an Eredar, while Draenei refers to the Eredar who fled from Argus and did not follow Kil’jaeden and Archimonde in joining with the Legion. The Lightforged are Eredar who went through a ceremony to be infused with power as part of the Army of the Light, and the Man’ari are Eredar who were infused with Fel magic. They, along with the Broken, are all Eredar, different population from environmental/magical factors.
Soooooo Eredar regardless what you call them, some of them, did serve the Legion. The only issue i see is number 1: fel Infused Eredar serving the Alliance along side “Draenei”. I see a conflict there, BUT, the same could be said about Death Knights when they were introduced. 2: Lightforged Draenei make no sense at all and i cant argue for that at all.
Welcome to the new Age, at this point Legion is done, and I kinda wish the Eredar be it own race (heck join the horde)
But at this point I think they story they wrote for Pennet ones is quite charm and I can’t help but like be ex Legioners try to Find new home I mean
Look at Argus now it crud hole what esles they have left try to worship a fallen titain that now Remove form play? Just be babal of eliteis
I glad most willing to move on and Just join races and hell I diging Playing Madri mage and Fel shaman.
