I don’t care how goofy it makes my character look. Let my dragon wear armor. It makes no sense that they can’t when races like Tauren, Draenei and worgen can. Give me an armored dragon. Please.
I really don’t understand why everyone needs to get the gratification of their own post.
Having one mega thread is far more likely to catch Blizzard’s attention than all of these 5-10 comment posts.
They basically put themselves in a corner with Dracthyr. Since normal mog overwrites the barbershop stuff, it would screw things up for anyone who prefers the barbershop armour. I am not against them adding Dracthyr transmog for those that want it, but I do hope that if it ever happens they do it in a way that would separate the two forms so that I didn’t have to have a completely naked Visage just to keep the look on my Dracthyr that I prefer.
Honestly I’m too ignorant to look for a megathread, but also it doesn’t look like a megathread is working.
The barbershop armor is a joke. Would you honestly care if it was removed in place of transmogs that fit your character?
There’s absolutely no reason why they couldn’t remove the barbershop armor and add it as a dracthyr-specific transmog appearance.
I absolutely want to see dracthyr in armor so long as they put effort into avoiding major clipping issues for *most items. (I can absolutely understand avoiding cloaks or weapons on your back.)
Yup no reason.
I one hundred percent would. I actually prefer the barbershop armour over the mail appearances. I like the minimalistic appearances of it. I also like the style of it. It was one of the things I was excited for for the race.
There is though. If they just added it as transmog it would not really fix the problem. For example, I like a minimalistic look on my Dracthyr. That is on purpose. I have never wanted full mail on them and prefer the barbershop armour. I do not want the same no clothes look on my Visage though. If they were just made transmog options then I would still be stuck with a Dracthyr form looking how I would like, and a naked Visage I would have preferred wear clothes.
That is why I advocate for separating them. Could choose what you want to wear on your Dracthyr and Visage separately. Heck, add the barbershop options to Visage if people want too. Add mail options to Dracthyr then. Let people choose how each form works. I just don’t want more choice at the expense of losing options we already have. Which in my case is my preference for minimal armour on my Dracthyr, and my like to cover my Visage form in everything but the head.
Edit: If not separating them, adding mail to Dracthyr and just adding a toggle to show barbershop armour on that form instead of mail would work too.
I’m partial to the barbershop armor, personally.
I will soon be a magical beautiful mage.
Let me mog chest, helm wrist, gloves and feet please.
Cloaks won’t work that’s understandable.
The shoulder and belt I want to mog don’t match any of the character creation armor outfits I want in visage, that’s why my dragon is naky all the time.
I’m going to go from naky evoker to naky mage.
They can keep me in naked dragon form while I fight, all I want is Visage form to be my character screen default and forum default form.
Imagine if you were a guardian druid and your load screen/forum icon was a bear.
Let me design my character with transmog dammit.
I changed my priest into an oracle dracthyr and they look
Was it the shoulders or the tabard that made them look like an oracle?
The oracle eye glow you get from being oracle
Awe nice! I have yet to level my priest this xpac. I imagine my priest would look pretty cool as a dracthyr with glowing eyes. Too bad they can’t wear armor.
Priests don’t wear armor so it’s ok
Well technically a robe does give you armor.
Its protection is symbolic

personally I’d really love the option to tmog my dragon form separate to my visage. I keep finding that belts that look great in visage look really weird in dragon mode
The belt really is the worst part because the armor colors that are available never match through the barbershop, so I end up leaving my belt unmogged
