What name did you get?
I just started back after > 1 year and didn’t see the posts on the topic. Newest is 17 days old and was names people were reserving so I didn’t want to necro.

I just randomized the name so I could be more original. I actually now forgot what I named mine.

I do anti heroes for character names, at least as much as I can. Smaug was an interesting villain, surprised I got any Tolkein variant.
Something, Something completely unoriginal and obviously referencing some other thing in pop culture.

I named my Evoker Slenderdragn, because 1, Dracthyr can be considered as slender, especially to Drakonids, and 2, it sounds like ender dragon

I went with this rando generated name. Figured it would be fitting if I tried healing. Cause I will try, then name.

I’ve played every healer but druid, not sure if I like the mechanics yet compared to other healers. Just done solo so far.

Surely you’re a very imaginative person with such a creative spark in every facet of your life and obviously didn’t take it from an already established medium!
Rough night? EDIT: Most of my character names come from literature, I read the Hobbit long before the movies. I have an Elric, Raistlin, some others.

she is named after my favorite bird. and since she’s going to align heavily with the black dragonflight, thought it was fitting.

May I suggest something imaginative too? I dunno I think something that would befit a purple dragon with orange highlights…Something that…I dunno starts with an “S”?
My Horde dracthyr is named “Mariska” because it’s a cool name I was lucky enough to grab on one of the biggest servers in WoW.
My two Alliance dracthyrs are named after dragons in my kid’s Fablehaven book. “Siletta” was a poison dragon and “Chalize” was a dragon with copper scales.

i sort of just pinned eonus to the end of what i would have named a dragon character had dragons been playable at the time. also seems to be more of a dragon like name if its a mouth full.

It may be an established name, but Smaugh is still a good Dracthyr name.
I saved my preferred Dracthyr name, Nessie, when they were announced. However, I also ended up with two more. Because I saw a lack of pink dracthyr*, I made Fanciflup* based on a character from the Fluppy Dogs line of Disney stuffed animals—and cartoon special…but Fanci Flup wasn’t in the special, with the character Tippi instead being an amalgamation of Fanci and Cuddle Flup—from the 80s. Then I decided I needed a horde Dracthyr too, so I murdered a different pally alt and stole her name, since I wanted to give out 
s as a Dracthyr but have people know where the likes came from: Pharazon.
