I wanted to name my character just “Yig” but it wouldn’t allow me so I had to settle for “Yiig”.
It’s the serpent god from Lovecraft’s mythos, with Cthulhu and the like. I like naming characters of eldritch horrors, and other reptile gods of various cultures.

I’m a bit of a progressive rock fan, and one of the bands I like is called Spock’s Beard. The keyboardist for that band is a cool dude named Ryo Okumoto. He recently put out a solo album called “The Myth of the Mostrophus”.
A couple of weeks before the pre-patch dropped, my GF and I got to go see Ryo and his band perform the entirety of Ryo’s solo album, as well as some Spock’s Beard and other songs. It was a really cool show.
So I decided to make my dracthyr Mostrophus.

I was going to use the random name generator but went with a name similar to this one and also similar to the Italian word for sister: Sorellia.
