Double standards on suspension

Preface: There’s an area above the BWL orb that can be accessed by wall jumping + polymorphing.

Today my account got a suspension for “Disruptive Gameplay” for simply hanging out above the orb. No PvP or anything of that nature. Just tossing out the ocassional summon. When i looked away for a moment and looked back at screen, I was in a different area near the orb. Figured i glitched out or something, so I summoned myself back to place. Not long after, i got disconnected and an e-mail stating i’ve been suspended.

Thats all fine and dandy. But what my issue is, what’s with the double standards? Alliance players have been summoning above the orb for months and months. As soon as some horde players (myself not included) PvP all the alliance summoners and basically kick them out of the area, suddenly horde players are getting suspensions. I summon there a couple times and just hang out, and i get handed a suspension.

BLIZZARD, You need to make clear and concise rules about this stuff, I doubt any horde on my realm ever reported the alliance players above the orb, but the short time i’m there, i get the rule book thrown at me… likely by salty alliance players that got PvP’d out of there.

Gonna press ‘X’ to doubt.

what exactly do you doubt?

Your story. I sincerely doubt you were banned for summoning above the BWL orb. You were likely doing something else that got you banned, and the timing was just a coincidence.

Yeah, it sounds crazy. I got suspended for hanging out above the orb. Same with another horde player that was hanging out near me.

I need to know from Blizzard, if summoning above the orb is breaking any rules. That’s the point of this post.

Probably should be opening a ticket rather than posting on the forums, then.

I’m making this public, in order to warn others as well. Without any official announcement from blizzard, and this strange suspension, people need to know so they dont miss their raid times.

Hope you enjoy not getting a response, then.

It’s very rare for an actual player to be banned for something they’re doing at the very moment the ban is handed out. It’s far more likely you did something hours or days prior, and the system investigated and suspended you. The BWL orb summon was not the reason for your suspension imo.

I assure you, it’s the reason. I was ported away from the area without any GM saying anything to me. I summoned myself back and got suspended. Exact same thing happened to another guy I was hanging out with at same location. We are unaffiliated other than we both happened to be right there. Both got suspended same time after both being ported away magically, and summoning ourselves back.

I mean you could just post a SS from your alleged ban and quiet down all the doubters

“Disruptive Gameplay” is too vague for that

My guess? They moved you out of there as a sort of warning. When you went right back, boom.

I believe you’re correct.

Why now though? Alliance players have been doing it on my realm for months. As soon as horde takes control, we get moved as a warning, but no GM contact, and a suspension right after. When did the rules change?

A GM should at least say something, “Hey, i moved you, you shouldnt be up there. Please report anyone else you find going up there”

I really don’t have any idea, but I’m sure it’s not an Alli v Horde thing though. Hope you get it straightened out. Rules should be clear.

Why haven’t they sealed off this area? Is this just a black hole in which people meddle with the ban hammer for blizzard to get its daily maniacal chuckle?

More like a grey area. Is this what it’s like to dispel a streamer?

Found your problem…

So, summoning players is against the rules now?

I’m gonna need to see your source of information

Into a place where you admit you don’t belong normally?

How are you not figuring this out on your own?
