Double Honor and Darkmoon Faire Coming to Pre-patch

Good decisions don’t negate bad decisions.

Doubling bonus honor still is too low. I appreciate that Blizz has finally addressed this issue but unless we can either get 5x the nerfed honor or at least fix HK honor (2-12 honor HKs is still way too low), it still wouldn’t match OG prepatch in feel.

Well said, I feel this response should be pinned.

The problem is a lot of the players want to have the same viable rewards as we had in prepatch before which was 6 weeks long. Now we have less than 2 weeks. It’s great that they doubled it, I will not be upset over that for sure. I am thankful, but considering how things are going and the way they have about it, it feels like a bone being thrown to appease the players.

That’s just my take. Take it as that.

So i’m guessing monday/tuesday you’ll make another change because we’ll still be complaining at you???

Thank you for listening to us. Thanks player base for the consistency of posts. You did a good thing blizzard, you won back the many players that were ready to quit and unsub.

So we are are -9 honor instead of -10? Your peeing on my leg and telling me its raining blizz.

Minor honor buff, no XP buff. Meh, guess you need thousands of people to complain to get scraps in classic.

Maybe Dreamhaven will make a decent MMO.

Doesn’t matter what it is, they listened to us and we got what we wanted and that’s pretty nice.

The issue I see with this, personally, is for most people the gear in question is just going to be to trivialize the opening of TBC and is going to be replaced rather quickly, so why make such a big deal out of being able to farm all of it?

I appreciate the attempt but its really not nearly enough. So from 80+ wins per piece its now 40+ wins. Just revert it to launch values, let people have fun. I haven’t pvped that much in the entirety of classic since I ranked. I got 2 pieces of high warlord gear and it took a few hours per piece while in a premade, I feel that’s a healthy amount for a 2 week pre patch. The honor on launch is a lot, but its really rewarding and is giving a incentive to enjoy the game.

thank you kaivax thank you blizzard

Just give us the original 10x honor, it’s already been abused, doesn’t hurt anyone.

its absolutely a bone being thrown to appease players, and its a good bone, no one would be complaining if the original 10x bugged rates were never in the game

Some may be happy with it, and yes it’s a step in the right direction, but it still feels like a bone being thrown to appease rather than a fix for the situation. That’s just my opinion though.

I doubt that to be honest, with the nerfed numbers the amount of time to get items within such a short span of time was just ridiculous. I bet people would have been complaining, but that’s all speculation.

You’re up late!! Hope we haven’t been too hard on ya lmao.

This is a good change! Very welcoming in fact. I’d like more but beggers cannot be choosers!

i don’t think so, the majority of people refer to it as an ‘honor nerf’ than an honor ‘bugfix’ they think it was done for balance reasons and not because it was just wrong

Two times what it currently is still probably isn’t enough to farm more than one or two pieces, but at least those one or two pieces are a bit more comfortable now.

Good question!
I think, at least this is my opinion and how I feel, it’s just the idea of how it went with prepatch to original TBC.
I mean it was viable back then because we had so much time so a lot of people, myself included, planned on just farming the gear. Doing BGs with the new specs made it fresh and fun and the gear being a reward made it all the sweeter.
The short time span of prepatch is the true problem for those looking to farm it.
It also just helps close the gap for them in the beginning to those who got good gear beforehand. Some of those like myself were planning on doing that but for me irl just, well irl happens and I ended up missing P2-P5. And coming back P6 as a ret paladin wanting to raid just yeah. Then seeing a full BiS ret try to kill a shaman and the ele sham just outhealing their dmg made me just. . . Yeah. Decided to wait till TBC Prepatch.
