Honestly i think its refreshing that its a quest.
I’m doing on this boomkin, an hour in Freehold netted me 7 more so I have 15 now and doing it in little chunks is fine with me…plus it was fun just pulling as much of the town as I could and blowing at all up.
Who cares? You have a year to do the quest.
and yet you did it anyways, without hesitation and on the first day, proving to Bliz they can pull this kind of thing with only a few grumbles on the forums.
Expect their next trick to be less pleasing.
So people pay extra and pre-order to earn the privilege of grinding to earn a mog.
Word.
gonna look great in the investor’s earnings call, innit?
I already saw someone in a bg with the transmog. They were on the other faction though so I couldn’t ask how they got it already
NEWSFLASH! Everyone knows it was advertised as a “QUEST” nobody is arguing that point. Amazing I know…
A proper, fun quest chain would have been fun, for sure. Something with some story to it, to give us a glimpse of the mysterious new realm that awaits us… Kill 10 rats is pretty weak as quests go, and that’s all the quest actually is.
I’ve done ~2 hours of solo grind and have 15 echoes. I’m fine with that pace. People grouping up and AoE nuking massive crowds at infinite spawn points will do better, people single-targeting mobs will do worse. It’s fine. I’ll casually spend another 4 hours here and there and have it done at my leisure.
The mount’s decently cool and the mog will come when it comes.
Yep. I paid extra - all the extra in fact since I bought the Epic version - and knew there would be a quest for the mog. That it’s a relatively minor grindfest is no big deal to me. Opinions vary, that’s mine.
Don’t say that people are going to say your entitled lol. I agree if they want to give players a transmog for preordering you shouldn’t have a long grind to earn it. Either give it to players for the purchase price or make it an in-game event… Not both.
You deserve a prize… clap clap clap…
I have it and im wearing it, might take a few hours for site to update but took me 1 hour 30 mins of farming Blood gate in a group.
I mean it just makes sense in an mmorpg to actually quest or grind once purchased. Items just popping up… Especially very epic ones is kind of a bummer.
I hope they do more content like this. I don’t have it yet but I’ll be buying it and I’ll take my time with it.
So the argument is that you assumed it would be a dialogue quest, and are mad it’s a grind quest? Is that the outrage, the TYPE of quest? Which was never disclosed so there was no reason to assume or expect anything?
Eh the way I see it if you pay money for your sub the epic version is really $65 since you get one month game time.
So, it’s not hard folks. A couple of hours at Blood Gates took me from 15 to 40.
I’ve gotten 5 so far.
I must go to Blood Gates then!
