Don't lose hope!

I’ve re-rolled into a PvE server, and was the best decision since the beginning of Classic.
At first you feel like when you break a relationship, you can’t stop thinking about the past. But eventually you get over, and then you remember why are you playing this game.
Try that new class that you always wanted, new professions, new guilds, and then you gonna experience the best of this game again. Don’t leave your other toon behind: he’s just there waiting for you. Waiting for the best moment to get back into trouble. Might be the 10th of Dec or any other day (if we get transfers for PvE).

For those who love PvP: PvP happens in a PvE server as well. Just flag yourself and be happy. SS vs Tarren Mill still blooming.

The message here is: There are ways of being happy in the game that you’ve been enjoying for so long.

DON’T LOSE HOPE!

See, this is how you say “If you don’t like it reroll PvE” and not make people want to just quit instead.

Come join us on Atiesh! We’re a friendly bunch and we have cookies. Still plenty of folks out and about leveling up and the games not going anywhere you can’t catch up to. Take a PvP “vacation” and come hang out with us mellow PvEers. Did I mention the cookies?

It is hard for people to change their mindset from one of indignation and anger to a more positive one though.

It’s like moving on from a bad relationship. It gets better with time but one can do things to improve one’s own state of mind.

In this case, rerolling is one such thing. As you have put it, the hurt can disappear quite quickly.

What’s the worst that can happen? It couldn’t be worse than sitting there and feeling angry about the whole wpvp mess and having an unplayable game.

If you aren’t the type of player to get motivation from defeat and indignation, you may want to try to the PvE server, it’s sounding like for at least the pre-bgs phase it was a better choice, since you can PvP in a more relaxed way. Classic has many flaws but it’s still a great game.

It’s hardly surprising that a positive post gets drowned out so quickly in a sea of negativity.

More people should post their positive PvE server experiences, especially if you’ve recently transferred so unhappy pvp server people can get happy rather get gud.

Well put. I personally still enjoy the pvp server, but sometimes need a break and then I play some on my alts. I love this game, so much fun.

There is a reason all the successful private servers where PvP servers. Don’t get rolling pve will fix that. You get the full experience of what Classic can offer on a PvP server.

Yeah, no, I can do without those parts and still enjoy myself.

Have fun if that is your thing though.

There is, but it gets ignored 'cause it’s not drama filled. Only time it got activity is when drama ensued. Who can blame us, I mean we’re all a bunch of drama queens :cocktail:

Hard to say that about the most toxic pve server. Where 9/10 groups have almost everything in reserve. Sorry if that’s your thing.

Yeah, this and somehow people feel compelled to be right.

And to a world of internet strangers.

PVP is fun at max level. It’s aids when you’re leveling, but to be honest, there are moments where I’m really glad I was on a PVP server. Azuregos spawned last night, and it was basically the entire server vs the entire server. Massive PVP over a dragon, was a lot of fun.

Just make a PVE toon, keep your PVP toon. Hop back and forth. Eventually, You’ll get your quests done on the PVP one as well, but in the meantime you can be PVPing when you log that one in. On the less hectic PVE server, you may discover ways to complete your objective either more quickly or find ways to avoid the ganking to get it done.

Both Elysium and Light’s Hope had very successful PvE servers until the exodus due to the devs’ stupidity.

Other projects have had one server because they didn’t want to split the player base. But comparing private servers to what’s happening in Classic is ludicrous. They had faction locks specifically because they wanted their server to be successful. If this happened on any private server it would have folded quickly.

You forget those pve servers became stagnant. Reason they only did PvP.

I mean, not only would you have to go through the braindead cancer that is Classic leveling, you’re also cutting out one of the main draws of Vanilla (actually fun world PVP). Blizzard ruined it.

I wouldn’t know about that, I haven’t done a single pug, I group with friends and guildmates and haven’t had any problems. Totally avoidable toxcicity.

And really, the levels of toxic are hardly even comparable.

PvE server=some pugs have items on reserve

PvP server=get murdered every 5 steps until you have to log out in frustration without ever having accomplished anything.

Yeeeah, definitely less toxic on the PvP servers, ya’ll should stay there and keep fighting the good fight. /s

Anyway, take your negativity someplace else. This is a positive thread welcoming the PvP refugees to the PvE servers. We’re encouraging people who are unhappy to take a break from the mess and come join us in the land of never having to look over your shoulder in Ironforge. Why on earth would you be trying to discourage them?

All private servers become stagnant because of the “fresh server” mentality. The exception would be Paymane where edgelords can buy their gear. Personally I don’t consider a pay to win server a quality project.

Elysium (Nostalrius pt 2) closed their PvE server because 90% of their players left. Also, and unfortunately, not a quality project. Nost had a PvE server, btw.

Thank you for proving my point. The pve servers where closed cause they became stagnant.

There are no long standing private pvp servers except the aforementioned one that is P2W. Your point might as well be PvP servers were closed because they became stagnant. Private servers mainly die because of the “fresh server” mentality, not because people don’t want to play anymore. If you played private servers at all you know exactly what I’m talking about.

That doesn’t apply to all private servers, however, because some shut their doors for other reasons. Nost didn’t die because it was stagnant. Elysium didn’t die because it was stagnant.

In short, your assertion that all successful private servers were PvP is wrong. Your assertion that all PvE private servers became stagnant is wrong.
