Don't get screwed by account merger and consolidation

If you activate it you might get some of your stuff back.

maybe just a one-time activation so that you get some of your stuff back on both accounts.

Kills me when people cant just ACCEPT that Blizzard absolutely screws things up.

Except that I already said that i talked to them directly and was told she could SEE that I earned the one mount…but tough…i was going to have to go earn it again on another character.

So it’s the reputation mounts that you got screwed on or was it a rare drop mount?

a whole big list of things Im finding I worked for but arent showing on either WoW account now.

They admitted they lost them when I called. They just said Id have to go get them again.

I would talk to them in person on the phone and explain what happened. Their online support is pretty bad.

How can they lose something that’s digital? Remove and enabling mounts is a simple click of a mouse button.

You can combine accounts, but they will never uncombine them once it is done.

That being said, if you make a new WoW1 account under that battle.net account all of your old mounts and stuff should still be there (with exceptions on the character specific stuff)… As all of these items are tied to the battle.net account and not the wow license. Once you have done that you should then be able to (you’ll have to pay), character transfer characters back to that wow license on that battle.net account.

But they didn’t. They took one WoW account from Battle.net (A) let’s call it, and moved it to Battle.net (B).

The first battle.net (A) account still exists. Blizz does not offer a service to merge battle.net accounts.

They’re the same people though.

I’ve had far more luck in the past talking by phone than I have digitally (for D3, WoW, etc.). It’s worth a shot at this point.

Escalated to a manager level that probably has administration rights to put back the stuff that you’ve already earned.

Request to have your case reviewed by manager you can do that.

They can move the WoW account back to the original battle.net where those items exist, but that’s it. They’re bound to that account. This is working as intended by Blizz.

I’ve done this a couple of times and every time I’ve done it they’ve warned me that it was one way only. Is that not true?

beats me.
I noticed the pandaren kite missing immediately.
I asked the rep about it, she said she COULD see that I had earned it and could see exactly what character had gotten it.
But she said they wouldnt replace it or anything else that was lost in the move.
Id have to earn it again.

I had all three goat mounts from Halfhill as well.
ALL three were lost. Not showing on either WoW.
She said the same thing. id have to pay for them again. THOUSANDS of gold just for those three mounts, not counting the others that are gone, as well as mogs I earned.

How did they lose the crap?
Ask them.

I wish to hades they had given me ANY caution that AnYTHING might be lost.
When i first contacted them we went over the details VERY carefully so they knew exactly what I was trying to do so I wouldnt lose my stuff.
THAT would have been the best time to let me know that things COULD be lost regardless of which Btag was being moved to.
But they said nothing. Not a peep about the possibility of things being lost.
I had to find out the hard way.

The only positive…the ONLY positive, out of the whole thing was ONE bow transmog I didnt want to lose actually shows on both WoW’s now.
Not sure thats much of a consolation, though.

You seem to still be confused how account-wide stuff works and how it is bound to battle.net accounts. Nothing that is account or b.net wide is going to move with your license if you move it to a new account. They didn’t lose anything. It is where it was originally.

When account-wide mounts were first introduced they did move across battle.net accounts and it was immediately abused to sell characters with collections of rare mounts, which is one of the reasons it was changed.

In the past they only did moves like this in very specific situations. Now they seem to have made it a little easier to help out their customer base. They haven’t posted any specific restrictions around it (other than both accounts have to be in the same name), so it’s difficult to say how lenient they’ve become.

If you’re not seeing them back on the original battle.net account, then you can put in a ticket and ask about them. But it’s highly unlikely they’ve been “lost”. They’re there. Just play with the filter in the mount journal.

dude…just stop talking to me, K?
You want to play semantics games and I dont.

I told them I wanted to merge my two SEPARATE ACCOUNTS to make it ONE account so I had ONE login.
Easy enough?
You can call it something other than a potato till the cows come home and its still a potato.
They knew what i wanted done.
They were the ones who knew there was some risk in crap being lost and failed to tell me that.

If they knew AnY of my stuff might be lost then they SHOULD have stated that BEFORE moving anything since they KNEW…because I TOLD THEM…that I didnt want to lose anything.
