It isn’t moving goal posts to point out that those bring VEs closer to replicating the main visual theme of BEs which people object to as additional VE customization on those grounds.
If I had not felt offended by you I would not have been aggressive either. At least I am not completely denying causing offense, which you clearly are and trying to portray yourself as saintly.
You being offended by my stance which counters your own is not my issue nor is it intended as personal to you.
Alright, I accept that. Ofcourse not everyone will agree with each other, and some opinions will clash. Especially when such a popular race comes into play.
I have no issues supporting a plethora of Void options many of which include some of Fenelons ideas, as well as a white and black hair option, as well as an ear slider.
But I do not support things that don’t fit the main Void theme and bring them closer to the BE visual theme. I also don’t spend time advocating for a race I feel has made it out better than many core races.
That seems to be where we differ and thats fine by me as well.
So we’re good to agree to disagree then.
I love the markings and the starcursed glow on that sea woman! And if they add more Void customizations I really hope to see all those N’zoth style eyes on the photo, they’re wicked.
I love the glowing white hair color in there, definitely a fresh breath of air.
Black should be a given as well, should be a no brainer to add.
I was also thinking of a Void Blonde whereupon the blonde will have the Kul’tiran blonde shade to it but also two thick, dark blue highlights with the starcursed effect on them to show corruption.
Fenelon has also made some excelent suggestions, like a starcursed purple, a neon orange/yellow fading into voidy blue etc.
Someone in the past made the recommendation for Void streaked hair as an alternative to tentacle options, that is amicable to me as it still is inherently Void.
Indeed!
I would love starcursed shadows for Void Elves and the eye reminds me of Azshara.
I love that tone of white as well. It could even work as a light lavender too for the darker color.
As an optional feature, then yes I’d love some starcursed streaks as well, and you could replicate glowing highlights for other races where applicable.
You would be surprised as to how much we actually agree on. I too support the Allied races with the least customization options to be prioritized over Void elves, although I would like to see the Legion Allied races (inc void elves) be worked on first as they were released earlier. That includes, as my OP states, Nightborne, LFD, and HMT. I also listed Vulpera because they are also very lacking.
So, right off the bat I place Void elves on 4th place in Allied race customization despite really liking Velfs. So yea, not first but not last either.
And I would be quite happy with white, black and some of Fenelon’s suggestions, so lots of similarities there. At least we would not be shelfed if that happened. It benefits us all if Allied Races are looked into and not completely ignored.
Because he made an awful comparison simply because he couldn’t answer a simple question.
Explaining the hoops he jumped for awful comparisons won’t make them any less awful.
I made a list of how many options all the ARs currently have. VEs are leaving everyone in the dust with a whooping 145, Nightborne being at the bottom with 67. They can wait their turn.

I would love to see scars like this given to all races.
It does I also am supportive of the ability to better RP the idea of being a “High Elf Wayfarer” but where I draw the line is to the extent that already exists in game, so I will continue to voice dissent in terms of ideas that I see further infringe on BEs main theme, and thats fine it shouldn’t bother anyone to see requests or dissent.
Also, I will gradually start counting how many options core races have. I can’t bring myself to sit here for long enough to count them all in a single go so that’s why I’ll do so in turns.
Also, don’t think I didn’t see that Sel, I saw you throwing the accusation that we started that when all you have to do it’s scroll up to see we didn’t.
…like I said you guys have made the same awful comparisons and I don’t think it should be used as an argument on any in-game topic, but I understand where he was coming from.
But anyway back on topic
I’ll go by this list instead.
I never said that Void Elves should come before Nightborne, nor any of the other Legion ARs and of this group they should indeed be last.
Worgen, Dark Irons and Kul Tirans are the only other races behind Void Elves numerically, and sure I’m fine if they polish them off too.

Also posting the image above with my TL3.
And sure why not, scars are fun.
I posted that graphic myself, and it seems a convenient way to avoid the point, not to mention I’ve always spoke of number of options, not combinations.
Yet, I’m not sure that showing a graph that displays VEs over Worgen helps your argument much either.
I made my post with the train of thought that since the 1st wave of customization was mostly just for core races, then 2nd will mostly be for allied races. But that doesn’t mean worgen cannot be worked on as well in the meantime. Most of the requests I’ve seen for worgen are tails though. There is a huge megathread titled that way.
I know that, and like I said, I didn’t really approve of his argument either, nor do I approve of anyone else drawing the same argument.
But we also moved on from this conversation and I’m not entertaining it further.
I’m still going to observe that graph rather than your numbers all the same.
Well, Worgen don’t actually happen to be an AR.
But in any event I support the Worgen community as well and wish the best for them and if that means that they get what they need before Void Elves do, then by all means.
Unlike you guys I don’t feel the need to pit every race against each other and am more then fine with races worse off than Void Elves getting their due first.
I’m fine with VEs going last as well.
No races are being pit against each other but if you’re asking for more BE customization and customization that brings VEs even closer to that identical look warrants being tossed into that category, then yes it opens discussion for asking Blizzard to respect the last bit of BE visual distinction and as that relates to VEs that would be asking to do things that make sense for the Void theme not continued options into the now secondary theme.
yikes, there is a lot of vitriol whenever more customization for void elves is brought up. all they got were blood elves skin tones, and the new eye colors they got were also given to blood elves. of course they shouldn’t be prioritized for 9.1 but it doesn’t hurt to give them more natural AND void customizations.
some of you guys know this is a video game, right?
