Don't Change pvp gearing!

why do poeple keep thinking it’ll make you weak in pvp?? your gear would have a cap on it’s base ilvl, while also scaling Up in pvp. it wouldnt be Dropping for pve, it would just remain at it’s base ilvl.
youve got strong pvp gear and want to also dabble in pve? ok, you’d be at entry ilvl for heroic. stronger than normal but not heroic geared.
want to be stronger in pve/have an advantage in pve? then gear from some pve for some pve gear.
you got strong pve gear and want to dabble in pvp? ok your items stay their current ilvl instead of scaling Up like the pvp gear would.
not completely useless, just not specialized for that content.
want to get stronger pvp/have advantage in pvp? get some pvp gear for pvping with
it’s not as complicated as alot of people seem to think and not as devastation as many are thinking either

any time you que up for something and zone in and your ilvl changes…its scaling. and its still part of the game today. scaling is ruinious in all parts of the game. in dungeons and in lower lvl bracket pvp. whoever thought 60s could que up for 20lvl bracket pvp was an idiot. thats scaling. its broken

How can you do that without ruining PVE? I am curious how you can allow people to earn a fast 216 honor set and not have that utterly destroy PVE gearing. Any ideas?

know hiw you got that one item from a dungeon and it was at 210 then you got that Same item from the vault and it was 226? it’s scaling, oh noes

no thats not scaling. thats just poor rng planning. scaling is when im ilvl 220 or something and i que for something, anything, and i zone in and my ilvl changes. thats scaling.

Any time you que up for PvP and zone in right now, you get honor talents and a boost to the damage and healing of vers, how is that not the same thing?

because everyone gets it. we all have to pick talents in pvp…well i suppose you dont have to but its helpful if you do. everyone has that option. and no ones talents are different than others. we all get to choose what works best for us. nothing changes.

What about the vers bonus from PVP trinkets?

What about PVE trinkets being nerfed in PVP?

everyone gets the same socket % from their trinkets. if you are only rocking 10% vers vs someone who is rocking 30% thats not scaling thats visible math.

everyone’s GEAR would be scaling just the same. just a matter of Which gear is UPscaling, pvp-only gear goes UP in pvp content (including WM on)

Ok? The ilvl boost was written right on the gear tooltip and when in PVP your stats reflected the boost. That’s visible math. In fact you don’t even need to do math because it is written for you, math is already done.

scaling is bad in any fashion. like i said a while back. its a slippery slope … scaling is a step towards bfa pvp which is what we all wanted to avoid.

So we should remove PVP trinket bonuses? And revert the PVE trinket needs? And remove all the balancing of abilities between PvP and PVE?

visible math is good. can you tell me how the math works if I was to que up for a 30 lvl bracket pvp? it doesnt add up and i would have a major advantage. scaling in any part of the game does not work. did you guys play pvp in bfa?

This is so far from BFA, in fact I would say that WoD is the antithesis of BfA.

Bfa was the absolute worst PvP gearing system we have ever had. WoD was the absolute best system we have ever had.

i would think that not only that vers% bonus, but the fact that pvE trinkets would stay the sameilvl, while pvp trinkets would be a full tier or more upscaled (13+ ilvl) would cause the pvp trinkets to be more viable than pve trinkets for use in pvp
pve trinket 226 - 226 in pvp
pvp trinket 226 - 239+ in pvp

I made this character at the end of BFA. and entered pvp and the scaling was so outrageous i dont even know how. All I wanted for xmas was pvp without scaling. so now we have it. and other than closing the ilvl gap why would we want to start down that path again

u forgot to mention that when pvp 226 trinket—>220 pve

Two things.

  1. There is scaling right now. There are a lot of abilities that work differently in PVP and PVE.

  2. How would you reduce the ilvl gap so you do not ruin PVE gearing?
