It is verifiable. I verified it for you. Still need more sources, though, right?
But no, keep ignoring what others say and reporting those you disagree with, it really makes this community stronger at a critical time.

You provided 1 source…none of the other sources said they left because they didn’t like the direction of the game.
I confused at how you are having such a hard time understanding this.
Claim: 5 devs said this
Proof: 1 dev said it
Problem: where are the quotes of the 4 missing devs actually saying what was claimed
Leaving actual feedback is one thing. When the post seems to be group-think about trying out another game, then then it comes accross as spam and advertising for another game. I’m not saying that this thread is spam. He said he left and then came back to se that nothing changed. Well, in my opinion, 9.1 changed quite a bit, so just perusing the forums is a sad way to see what changed.
I played the current content other than the raid.
The things that didn’t change were called out in my original post.
Says the troll trying to get everyone to quit and play their game.
You’re obviously real worried about the community lol
Nice gaslighting and concern trolling. I’ve almost filled out my bingo card!
Nikolo’s alt sure is working overtime on the forums today. Gotta report those critical threads!
Ooo claiming the multiple people calling you out are all secretly the same account, that’s another one for the sheet! C’mon you little clown, I just need the ‘O’!
And it even goes beyond that. Blizzard reports all their MAUs across all games totaled together. They don’t break it down. Also, logging into multiple titles counts as multiple MAUs. So if you log into both WoW and Hearthstone for 15 minutes apiece, you count as two MAUs. There’s almost nothing to be gleaned from the MAUs as they’re reporting them. It’s simply a metric that investors are interested in because it’s actually relevant for ad-based mobile games. Sadly, the investors don’t know the difference between WoW and a mobile game, so they don’t even know that they’re being mislead.
You don’t know how investing works and that’s okay. Do you know what would happen if investors were being misled? People would go to federal prison, that’s how it works.
Ion may have said that, but the Blizzard earnings report is open to the public, and it makes no mention of hours or daily active users.
That’s Ion’s lawyer speak at work. He’s technically correct in the general sense, but he’s giving the false impression that Blizzard is reporting relevant metrics when they really aren’t.
I doubt anyone bothered to alt this boring thread to gray. It is blah and not worth reading, so not sure why you are spamming like a religious cultist.
You seem to be interested in it.
Gonna have to agree here. The OP isn’t even sincere in being “done”, he can’t even leave the forum. He’s not done, he’s just angry right now for whatever reason.
I also know OP’s intentions and the future. That is in no way ego or anything.
I’m not angry. I may be a little aggravated from all the attacks though…
You have to prove that they were intentionally misled, and that’s a high bar to clear. Blizzard only reports MAUs. They don’t tell you whether the figures are relevant or not, and they don’t tell you what to make of them. The fine print tells you that they’re pretty much garbage:
Monthly Active User (“MAU”) Definition: We monitor MAUs as a key measure of the overall size of our user base. MAUs are the number of individuals who accessed a particular game in a given month. We calculate average MAUs in a period by adding the total number of MAUs in each of the months in a given period and dividing that total by the number of months in the period. An individual who accesses two of our games would be counted as two users… For Blizzard, an individual who accesses the same game on two platforms or devices in the relevant period would generally be counted as a single user…
Like Ion’s statement, the MAU report is completely legal but completely irrelevant with regard to WoW’s revenue stream. The MAU includes trial accounts, Hearthstone, Heroes of the Storm, Overwatch, and Starcraft. If these games were showing ads, that would be relevant because more users means more ads, which means more revenue. Half the games they’re including in the MAU don’t require a subscription fee, and Hearthstone is even free to play. However, investors are conditioned to believe that MAU = revenue, so when Blizzard reports the MAU across all those titles, they believe they’re looking at potential revenue. They’re just looking at a meaningless number.
The “time-played” metric is laid out in their financial reports, which are public, if you’re interested in reading them. It’s not a conspiracy - nice try though.
Oh but it does. Did you read it?
Yeah, I feel like Blizzard treats people who unsub and write out why like the Jailer/Warden in the movie Lets Go to Prison. He gives an epic speech as the new inmates arrive about if they have any concerns about their stay at the jail they can take their thoughts, write it on a note and properly shove it where the sun doesn’t shine. That is how I picture Blizzard any time someone leaves feedback.
It only does if blizz likes you more then the other nerds. :3
Chosen ones and all that jazz.
