As the title says. Blizzards classic team needs MoP to be successful if they want to keep their clsssic project (and their jobs) going.
So to achieve this they are killing off SoD to make it happen. Hell they even gave us a “free” MoP boost lol.
Do not let them herd you like cattle to the slaughter. Hold your ground. Continue to log in and support SoD.

Too late already… there’s barely people talking on LFG on one of the populated servers and even getting groups for things already is starting to look sketchy and slow. I guess the morons trash talking people without gear now will be waiting for ghosts to join their groups now…

Yeah dude I played SOD from day one but this has been going on a long time and they are going to move onto other projects lmfao. The game is still there. They don’t have an obligation to do anything for you and retail alone could support ten classics combined

They are not killing SoD the servers are staying up like the era classic servers
SoD did what it needed to do now they are taking that and making a better Classic+ hopefully it’s not to long of a wait
MoP was fun first time I was a PvPer now I can do the raids that people say are great mainly ToT free boost makes it easy

I was always planning on skipping Cata and playing MoP, personally.

I was always going to play MoP classic, so the boost is just a nice extra thing for me.
SoD has been pretty great from the start, but if the devs are finished then it’s time to move on.

I like MoP tho. SoD’s great and all but it’s clear they’re working on Classic+ which’ll likely be closer to vanilla than SoD was for better or worse. A Classic+ launch is big money, maintaining SoD after Phase 3 damaged it so much isn’t. It’s too hard for new players to start because it feels like they’re too late.
First it’s sheep, now it’s cattle. What farm animal am I allowed to be?

It will be successful regardless. Lots of people leveling and preparing for mop now.
I know someone of you have forgotten that sod was just a seasonal thing.
It will be successful just like Season of Discovery, as a seasonal expansion.
Be a ram. I hear there is a ranch.
Panda land already having major issues over there side from technical bugs to people already leaving. Guess therell be back to playing SOD
i cannot wait for mop, sod was fun but nothing in comparison for me.

As much as I enjoy SoD, it was made very clear that it wasn’t going to be a permanent project when it was announced.

Or you know, maybe don’t be weird and tell people how to enjoy their $15/mo subscription.
Gotta love the Classic mentality that you have to be married to one version of WoW

They were super clear about it early on. People are just coping b/c they can’t accept that SoD isn’t the focus anymore. Just be happy they’re keeping the servers online for you to play your one version.
MoP and WoD were peak PvP eras of PvP for me. Most people would say Cata but I’d argue that WoD made PvP far more accessible and more easy to gear into.
