Players want an interesting new allied race, like Tuskar? Blizzard gives mechagnomes…
It was obvious when they turned world quests into what they are today. They were fine in legion and bfa. They did a real bad job on them for shadowlands. There’s alarm bells going off when things are done worse than bfa.
I enjoy the game to continue my sub.
Doesn’t mean I don’t have my complaints.
Wut?
Why would I want to grind honor to buy worthless honor gear to make you feel happy you forced chores on someone?
If I wanted to play a videogame to go all e-peeny-weenie I could. But I actually play to have fun. You don’t sound like you’re having fun at all. Why would I want to chase that hamster wheel you’re on?
Alot of the decisions seemed to be based on the hamster wheel design that MMOs entail. It is alot easier and financially sound to drip out content in intervals and control content consumption. Player control would place more pressure on development.
Not that I agree with the approach, but I am starting to see this more and more with all games in general.
Easily resolvable by leveling in a good expansion.
“We’d rather you didn’t play Demonology”.
You’ll notice they never said, “Okay, you can play demonology again.”
It’s like Simon Says.
It’s one spec that Ion gutted, and it was purely out of spite. He’s an insipid bedwetter.
I think you are not seeing the big picture. Bli$$ard saw how well classic did and wanted to capture that in SL. Since Bli$$ard makes some really questionable choices (cancelling 2nd D3 xpac and disbanding the D3 team before seeing how RoS did?) they decided to incorporate some of the worst aspects of classic into SL and then just sit back and wait for the money to roll in.
Explain to me how it was out of spite? Cus i just listened to the entire answer to the question and i didn’t see anything that said spite.
Probably because they actually read the forums religiously and they’re like ahhhh solo Q…they’ll get it…Mr. Smithers…oh they’ll get it alright
Because they dont.
They want to make their shareholders happy. The time-played metrics and micro-transaction profits are king.
So lots of FP were bad because whistle, but whistle is gone because flying, but we don’t get flying until next patch.
Your logic made my brain hurt.
I never stopped using my whistle, and in fact advocated for the whistle to be made available for leveling players in all zones.
It was one of the biggest QoL features ever added for open world content and I miss it every day in SL.
As far as FPs go, most of the new zones could use more. Revendreth is the only exception. Maldraxxus is okay-ish but Bastion and Ardenweald are lacking, especially Bastion.
My post was made in sarcasm
You can thank the lawyer Ion. He and his dev team are a joke.
I can understand believing that Blizzard often makes game decisions based more on what investors want rather than what the players might want.
But I’ll always find the idea that Blizzard makes decisions purely out of spite to be hilarious.
Take a bit whiff, spread them cheeks.
K thats not an argument thats just you showing your age.
“someone has a different opinion than me, lets insult them instead of providing our point of view”
It’s so damn stupid, like seriously are these people just 14yo angsty teens? Why? WHY?! How can they believe Ion wakes up every morning looks in the mirror and says “I’m gonna piss in so n so’s cheerios today”? If for some reason that were remotely true, noones gonna put up with that kinda unprofessionalism, and you don’t keep your job by being bad at it. Game devs cannot and will not be able to satisfy 100% of the player base all of the time.
