There seems to be a huge amount of ppl pushing 17, 18, 19+ Keys atm. I get it’s an easy week but… won’t R-IO reset next week? What’s the point? All these people have Napoleon Syndrome that bad??
What am I missing?

RIO said that your best season score will be shown. So people are pushing to get a leg up for S2.

I know some ppl really enjoy pushing keys with their friends and being gud. I used to enjoy keys.
But, I’ve talked to so many ppl who have said they wouldn’t push so much… but do … so their IO is “high” because everyone can see it. Ugh.
next week is the post season portion…so you should try to push your highest key next week (i’d say anything above a +15 would be nice to complete)
Like Sosari said, you’ll want that key for the beginning of the season to lock in high end upgrade in your box 
This week, many players are pushing high keys for competitive reasons (probably to climb ladder rankings on their server/world/etc.)
It will still show your last season’s IO, so if you push it up to a decent level, you can skip the line a bit in the next season.

I think it resets every season but your history is shown. Unless you nope out of the tracking and disable it

It’s a necessary evil unfortunately. Having the appropriate IO score for a certain key range isn’t enough in a lot of cases.
It still boggles my mind that people consider this an easy week. You cant cast, constantly cant stack, and you have to constantly kite mobs around. There are several tyrannical weeks I’d take over this crap, and I hate tyrannical

Yeah I have heard all the hype about this week and now that we’re here, I disagree about this week such an easy week.
Maybe what is considered “easy” about it is that Sanguine is PREDICTABLE and AVOIDABLE; and even if you don’t avoid the first 1-2 seconds, it doesn’t do that much dmg. You have to stand in Sanguine for 3+ seconds, which you shouldn’t be doing in anything higher than a 5. lol
And the fact melee BLOW in this game and you’re better off having 1 mDPS and 2 rDPS, quaking is more of a non issue because your rDPS should be spread out anyway.
I can see why it’s called easy-ER … but it’s not as easy as people have been making it out for the past few weeks leading up to this.
I also dislike quaking. I personally like tyrannical, I just think part of what makes tyrannical weeks appealing is dispelled by their poor choice of affix combos during tyrannical weeks. Things like bolstering that slow down trash dramatically on a week that requires you to pull trash rapidly to make up for long boss encounters. What should be a fun trash splat to bosses ends up a slog.

Oh and to address your post OP, there is no point. It’s a video game. You play it for fun. If someone’s idea of fun is high score (which isn’t even that weird of a thing it’s been around since arcades); who are you to tell them they are doing fun wrong?

It’s “easy” because of how terrible last week was, and people trying to do a last minute KSM figure it’s not rough enough to stop them.
RIO shows your previous season’s scores, that is why people may push - another reason being that they may want to see how far they can get in Prideful, before it’s gone forever.
Because I want a polearm to play survival, 11 14-16s this week so far no polearm rip

IO and the Blizz system are different enough that both will exist. Count on it.
I already deleted RIO.
One less 3rd party addon to maintain since it’s finally been implemented.
All we need now is a damage meter and coordinates in game and I’d be peachy
