Doesn't R-IO reset next week?

They have not implemented the addon. They have made something that really in no way even resembles the original, other than the concept alone. Nobody who takes mythic+ seriously will even acknowledge the new system. The only reason blizzard even mentioned consulting with raiderio was to get people on board.

I’m personally insulted. I’m insulted that they thought we were all stupid enough to buy that nonsense

Keys will drop probably 5 levels between season 1 and season 2. So plenty of people are prepping to have 15s first day of S2.

Ahh, my fault. They probably just want a high score for personal reasons or to get faster Invs early next season (raider io reads your last season high score)

An in game system that awards points per highest completed keys and indicates to others in group finder of this information.

I fail to see how this isn’t exactly what RIO does

I think it will be pretty good. The main difference is that it doesn’t tell you how many runs the person has ran in a bracket, but that number isn’t always helpful, especially if you’re running at the high end of the bracket. For example, if you’re running a 19, you don’t know how many of their runs in the 15-19 bracket were only at the 15 level, so that number becomes less important than their score.

Another “difference” is that RIO makes it easy to see who was carried. If the person bought only a few carries, you can tell because their score will be low. The same will be true with Blizzard’s scoring system. If they bought carries for most or all dungeons, that can be a little trickier. But you would usually have to go to the website to find out, anyway. So you can just go to the website like normal if you aren’t sure.

In my opinion, the solution there is to go after the carries themselves. Solve the problem at its root.

I have uninstalled RIO and I turned it off on all my characters. It was helpful, but I’m willing to take a chance on the new scoring system.

It dramatically changed the way it’s scored. So much so, and on such an irrelevant way, that the original will still exist.

Becoz RIO on 9.1 would post your RIO score from previous Season. If you’re Zero, good luck to you on 9.1.

personal goals. Same thing w/ ksm, aotc or ce. Some people want to get into certain rating before the season ends.

While there is no denying most affixes are annoying and I used to long for tyrannical weeks in older xpac seasons. I absolutely will take any combo on fort over tyrannical. Tyrannical is a total key killer if you wipe on a boss because of the amount of time they waste fighting them. It’s one thing to get moped up on a fort week by a pack and just dive right back in with little time lost. But tyrannical bosses usually have you commit hero and various other pots and cd’s and if you fail then you are extremely punished.

I view all fort weeks easy for that very reason when pugging or running with friends. Obviously other people that are much better than me will probably view it differently, but that’s my feeling on it. I haven’t really pushed since the last bfa season. But I might consider doing 20 range again if the single target survival buffs help me enough for where I’m lacking in mythic+ on said tyrannical weeks. Not that it can’t be done because there are obviously survival hunter over 20 keys, they’re just better geared and better players.

Although this statement is true, here is something to consider–

As I’ve been watching more videos to learn and get better, I came across one phrase that really stuck with me. Especially since it came from some of the world’s best players:

“Be average, and DON’T DIE.”

Mid-level players are defined by their obsession with the meters and their parses. So much so that they are constantly getting themselves killed trying to keep their numbers up.

On my journey to be better, I will share the best piece of advice I’ve learned: “Be average, and DON’T DIE.” A lot of my dungeons START OFF with me in 2nd or 3rd … but as we progress and people die, by the end of the dungeon I am always first or second. AND I PLAY ONE OF THE WORST SPECS IN THE GAME ATM!!! lol Literally second-worst spec.

So while it’s true, HARSHLY TRUE, that a wipe on Tyr most often means you lost a Key … you shouldn’t die. Focus on WHY you died, and don’t die next time. If it’s a weak Healer, that’s fine, you at least know why you died; and also that it’s out of your control. Fix YOUR mistakes. Your dps will follow with it. Stop worrying about your dps, focus on WHY you died, and STOP dying!

Be average, and DON’T DIE!

What I tell my guldies all the time. I’m just like don’t die smile.

I’m living the survival hunter dream.
