I haven’t played monk in a long while. Figured I would try and level one and moderately gear him enough to test him out.
I have fun in PVE with him, absolutely HATE him in PVP! I get destroyed by literally everything and everyone. These days ToK feels like it does NOTHING! This WW monk feels like a lost cause for me and I’m about to pick another toon to play.

but it’s def more fragile than a lot of other melee rn and the games pacing is pretty fast
if you aren’t aware or quick you won’t have fun
No, it’s a very good class. Just has a very high skill ceiling, especially knowing how to live on it. Which is why it has a low player rep in pvp even though it’s really good.
If you want something a lot easier, play bm hunter, dh, warrior
No, it’s good, just somewhat delicate.
Too reliant on DoCJ procs and CDs. Kinda squishy. Otherwise, decent.
If you learn how to play a monk and take into consideration your skillset and specifically your modifiers / burst windows you will be an absolute monster.
Just be wary of being a tunnel-spaz as monks can get punished for that.
Yes, At the moment rogue warrior dh ret dk are all better then ww just play 1 of those melee instead
Strong but squish. Satisfying as hell when you get good at it though.
WW is the arcane of melee. Very poor defensively, but has very strong burst.

Yeah, I definitely think he’d have a more enjoyable experience on any of these, especially dh.
I think you’re right. Probably going to play Assassination Rogue and Disc Priest and focus on those 2.
