Does WOW graphics support ratracing?

I keep hearing about this new RTX Nvideon ratracing technology and how it supposed to make the graphics appear to have more bits. Does WOW support ratracing RTX technology?

Yes, they added it in the SL beta. It’s also called, “Ray Tracing,” if that’s helpful.

WoW should support rat racing, but unfortunately, it only has ray tracing. :frowning:

From the videos I saw its not worth to turn it on for WoW IMO. Like I would def try it out my card supported it without getting bogged down.

That is where you would be wrong. I was JUST at the computer store and got a brand new RTX ratracing compatible GRAPHIC PROCESSING UNIT for my computer.

I want to enable this feature in WOW now. I am checking the menu. I do not know what it does it was expensive it must be good.

If you have nothing productive to add here I suggest you find another topic. I am just trying to get some support of a WOW graphics feature.

It’s not the full ray tracing tech its only ray traced shadows.

Go to System->Advanced->Ray-Tracing

Unfortunately you need to use dx12 to turn them on, and dx12 for a lot of nvidia cards causes terrible flickering thanks to the cyberpunk drivers.

As far as Ray tracing, it does look good. But it’s very very subtle most of the time and can eat up you fps for what looks like minimal improvement without inspecting closely
