No. The guy was suggesting a squish in levels and return to Azeroth every 3 expansions. That was what I was referencing. You may be responding to the OP, but the relevant topic wasn’t the OP.
hmmm…
It’s not our fault you aren’t following the topic of conversation.
Make a new thread if you want to talk about something else.
I see I was under the impression the expansion happened on the broken isles.
Don’t miss quote me. I said that it didn’t give the players the feeling of returning to Azeroth. Not that is wasn’t part of Azeroth.
Conversations evolve. The topic of squishing every third expansion is relevant to the idea of Classic+.
This one has devolved apparently.
It gave me the feeling of returning to Azeroth. Not just because I knew the story, but because we rode a boat/zeppelin to get there…
Northrend felt like it was as much of a different place as Outland felt. It even had its own Cold Weather Flying.
But I liked it very much. I never, ever identified with people who complained about flying mounts nor about Outland detracting from the game.
Does that mean WoW Classic deserves it own new expansion? No. Why would it? Why should it?
If it did, would you play it? Just play Shadowlands! How is that any different?
That’s because zones were designed with flying in mind. So flying worked well.
Devs stopped doing that and suddenly flight was a problem. Funny how that works.
Did not give me that feeling at all. That is besides the point and Frosto is right. The conversation has devolved since the point was having a level squish happen every set of 3, and I could give more reasons of why I choose those arbitrary points.
And I’ll say it again, before you go proposing a level squish so frequently I’d like to see them do it even just once to know what sort of problems come with it.
They actually designed zones in WoD and beyond with the idea that flying would make the world actually good. Rather than a huge pain to navigate.
But you had to reach max level to buy it, didn’t you? Anyway, who cares? I don’t think any content wouldn’t work with flying. That’s just a silly thing people say. Flying is fine.
78 (or was it 77?), actually. But that’s besides the point. Flight was only ever a problem when Blizzard made it a problem. It was fine.
Nah. First character was 77. You could buy a heirloom book that allowed flight at 70 for your alts.
No, that’s on point, imo. Thank you for pointing that out! I had forgotten. It’s been a while.
OK. Good! What a great feature.
You know what wasn’t a great feature?
Look up Ghostcrawler.
I mean… he did a lot of good too. I don’t think he was the one so against flying.
Name anything.
I mean he was in charge during Wrath, Cata, and MoP. I don’t know about TBC though.
