Does WoW Classic (2019) deserve its own new expansion?

That is not TBC.

It would be a new expansion that creates a re-imagining of what other directions WoW could have gone into. The new expansion would hold onto the WoW classic feel and not implement any major changes to the current WoW system. It would add new levels, places to explore, and some different new races/classes.

Some Examples:

Emerald Dream expansion

Pirate themed island hopping expac

Expansion that adds New Class: Bard and Tinker

Hmmm I’m good with either.
I really want to play tbc and wrath again.
However, the idea of just adding content to classic does not intrigue me at all. I want class changes so the rotations are more engaging than frostbolt or shadowbolt spam. I also want better class balance similar to tbc and wrath.

Classic is nice and all but the class balance is terrible and the rotation on some classes is boring.

By my personal preference judging by how retail is now I don’t think I would enjoy a new wow that’s created with the vision the current developers have.

Just my two cents

It’s a fantasy to expect any new content. It deserves to be in retail.

No.
The sole reason wow classic exists is because it is an eternal maintence mode mmo and an easy cashgrab. If Blizzard do actually have to split development resources for both games both will be terrible.

Oh great. Another cataclysm.

I’d love to see Classic+ instead of the Boring Crusade.

The simple fact is that the current developers don’t have the ability to design solid new content without arbitrary grind mechanics and that wow’s overhead is too high for the return compared to modern warfare or candy crush.

So as a gamer no.

And as an investor hell no.

I would rather see some kind of Classic+ instead of TBC but I know it’s not happening. It’s way easier for Blizzard to just release Classic TBC and people actually want it.

Death knights.

Have you considered BFA or Shadowlands?

No. I’m sure there are plenty of people who are interested in TBC more than Classic+.

Sometimes I feel like people don’t understand what a remaster is.

I think the most amusing ones are where they say “use the stuff they had planned for classic, but never got around to”. Knowing full well those ideas were put into retail eventually (most of them).

As if asking them to do it classic style will make hyjal better, etc.

Classic deserves an expansion from old legendary devs  But that won’t happen

Alternatively, I think just refine Classic is enough: old AV, tune classes (numbers), make pvp rewards more accessible (not necessarily easier), faction queues, introduce fun world events, etc,…

Definitely.

I think they should make a new expansion where Horde and Alliance all get along and we can have big Waterworld themed parties in the Great Sea and invite Murlocs who should be a new playable race!

I mean… since we’re throwing out bad ideas that will definitely never happen why not? :man_shrugging:

Kharazan could easily be released in classic, tuned to lvl 60, and allow class specs beyond the classic restrictions. Actually all dungeons released throughout various xpacs in azeroth could be scaled to a classic level.

Why? So half the community can say they hate the direction the game is headed and quit playing? TBC will be the version of classic that a lot of players were waiting for.

But why though?

And how would it be substantially different than TBC Kara?

BFA, has this, no thanks.
