Does this rep gear exist? It did in 2.4 and I farmed out rep to honored to get it to save time grinding honor in other places. Put in a ticket they had no answer. Wowhead doesn’t have anything really either? https://tbc.wowhead.com/transmog-set=791/opportunists-battlegear

Would be weird because it’s literally the same as the honor gear already available. Same stats, set bonus etc. Thought I was saving myself some time especially being horde and ques being long, guess not lol.
It was added in 2.3 in november of 2007

Yeah. Seems like they are phase locking this since it was added when season 2 ARENA gear went for honor. At the point they added this set, it was mostly worthless but at least something to wear while grinding the season 2 arena gear on an alt that leveled up.
I originally thought they were adding this since they went off 2.4.3 server for reference, thus removing most of the level 70 honor requirement without even touching a battleground. Alas, they are only giving us incredibly late pvp changes such as Ratings on gear but not giving us other late PvP changes such as the rep sets.
Sadly it’s a late phase armor set that in all honesty should have shipped with the game.
It’s not a threat to PvE or PvP; the set is there as a different way to gear up for PvP via PvE.

because you are honored by the time you hit 70 with most factions, while a single piece of the ‘honor gear’ from pvp vendors takes 20+ hours to grind.
I am not seeing the issue here, if honored isn’t hard, the 20 hours shouldn’t be an issue, because there is another way to get the gear. Either spend 20 hours because you don’t want to do the rep, or do the rep while you level?
If you grind dungeons you could have all your pre-bis by 70 for raiding. Are dungeon grinds hard?

I was poking fun at the obscene honor grind, while these should also be easily accessible as an entry pvp set, and not gated behind 100hrs of grinding for all 5 pieces
This is P3 items. Resil gear was honor only until P3.

First read the post, this gear according to Wowhead has the same stats, set bonuses as the honor gear. So why would they release it in phase 3? Maybe for alts?

Season 1 - S1 arena gear high arena points; Blue PvP gear honor
Season 2 - S2 arena gear high arena points; S1 arena gear lower arena points; Blue PvP gear honor
Season 3 - S3 arena gear high arena points; S2 arena gear lower arena points; S1 arena gear honor; Blue PvP gear gone
Season 4 - S4 arena gear high arena points; S3 arena gear lower arena points; S2 arena gear honor; S1 arena gear gone; Blue PvP gear Rep Vendor
That’s the way it was in Original TBC. I could see blizzard putting Blue PvP gear on the rep vendors in the Season 3 phase.
Back when this was a thing, honored was obtained naturally while leveling while the 20+ hour honor grind was for SEASON 2 ARENA GEAR.
