Hey! I was doing some research and I found a couple forums/websites that say that only 1 person actually needs the key to get everyone into Karazhan. Is this true?
For some reason, I thought the portal will block you unless you’re attuned.

Im not sure, i always thought you just needed the door to be open
I think there are important quests if not rewards for the attuned… Would be wise to do it.
no everyone needs to be attuned. you guys are thinking about when they removed the attune requirements

to start off with you have to be attuned to enter the instance. later near the end of the expansion they remove the attunement requirement. don’t freak out too much about kara attunement it is not that bad as you might think when you see that chart of attunements, the only REAL hurdle is it takes having a flying mount so you gotta buy one even if you never use it again. It takes like half a day’s play time to do all the dungeons required including lfg to get attuned, it’s not bad at all, you run like caverns of time durnehold then caverns of time black morass then shattered halls then steam vaults then arcatraz then done. i might have left one or two dungeons out, it’s not bad though.

It’s a fun ride and the gear gets you ready for Kara.
This will be in the last patch of TBC where no attunement is required. As for now, you need the key to be able to open the gate and enter the raid.
They may actually remove it in p2, as they talked about making the changes when new content comes out vs. when it happened back in 07/08
Everyone has to have the key. That change will not take place until later in tbc.
Or just get a lock to summon you, but if you don’t have enough money for normal flying by the time you are 70 you didn’t something wrong lol
