Anyone who played during the original Vanilla and TBC should recall all the balancing/QoL demands we had. These were eventually addressed as time went on during Retail’s progression.
Ret certainly improved over the next two xpacs. Personally, I’ll just replay the expansions as they get re-released.

There might have been one or two tanks doing some DW tanking back in vanilla, but it wasn’t a ‘thing’. To suggest otherwise is straight up historical revision.

You are correct, I was not raiding back then. But it’s not hard to research these kinds of things. Was it the norm? Not even remotely close. But it was a thing. Shield swapping after having threat isn’t a new thing. Honestly I’m responding to that dude in the same manner he responds to people on here. I’ve seen his name across multiple posts as he just belittles people for not agreeing with his bad take. So why not speak to him like he’s been talking at everyone else?
That remains to be seen. I’d suspect that folks will be farming MC through SoM. Once tanks start getting geared up from BWL and up, we’ll see fury-prot showing up for older content. Hell, this might even happen once tanks get enough gear from MC.

Oh I absolutely agree however this is blizz we’re talking about that’s why I’m saying wrath of the lich king classes would be the easiest way.
We know all the classes problems are solved and every speck is revival and fun to play and it was turned the meta on its head.
