I’m dying of boredom right now, these quests are god damn boring. And the story is bland and unoriginal. Is there a more compelling story line coming, i dunno if ill make it to 60. I just killed the lady where u had to throw a hammer at 3 bells while being lifted by someone and im lvl 55. Cuz I the quests are killing my desire to play so ive done a lot of bgs and stuff.
Bastion gets Cult-creepy.
Maldraxxus is full blown decay.
Soooo… not yet.
I found Bastion boring, as well, Loch.
Maldraxxus’ story was far more interesting. Ardenweald blew. my. mind. Revendreth is the best thing they’ve ever done, quest-wise. Hang in, my friend, because yes…it gets better.
how much longer is there to go after the quest i mentioned already before im onto the next zone?
Mmm…good question. I ran through that zone on the first day, and I did the entire zone in like 3 hours. The bells were like a bit more than halfway through, I think.
Edited to add: Look at your quest log and see what chapter you’re on. The last two chapters of each zone are quite short compared to the others. If that helps.
The zombie soldiers are a slight step up from the blue scientologists, but it doesn’t get much better from there.
All the areas get better as they go. I did all the areas on release day but enjoyed it alot.
I just finished Bastion. Bored to literal tears. It has me questioning if I made the right called to purchase SL.
Holy cow, you people are dramatic.
Seriously. Like. If you honest-to-goodness don’t like the game…don’t play the game. Life is too short for video games you don’t enjoy.
I wasn’t a fan of the Bastion zone, either, and it’ll be a warm day in Icecrown before I roll a Kyrian toon, but c’mon. It’s a beautiful zone, and the story introduces interesting concepts. The Arbiter is a good story. The anima drought introduced through the eyes of cult-blinded zealots whose hearts are in the right place is…disturbing and interesting.
Love it. That’s perfect.
Bastion was boring, yeah - how many times do I need to go to blueman and kill some Sha wannabes? But it did highlight the pretty awful nature of the Kyrians. Honestly it’s probably the first time Blizz has actually properly done morally grey between the Kyrians and the Forsworn. But I knew Bastion would be boring to me. A bunch of holier than thou angels with sticks up their butts doesn’t strike me as people to go to for a good time, after all.
I liked Maldraxxus though. It kicked off in a great way with that arena, had some good characters show up, and had some real good quests. Ardenweald… not my cup of tea, but it sure is a beautiful zone. Reminds me a lot of the Ori games. I’m only about halfway through Revendreth but I like what I’m seeing.
Ain’t this the truth
That’s what really gets me about the zone the most is the concept. Specifically, the Uther bit. Is his half-a-soul that cannot be purged of wrathful emotion so powerful that it can actually corrupt the balance of the zone? That’s awesome.
No, it doesn’t. All four zones are riddled with boring quests that are just break time while the npcs RP with each other for a minute.
Nah, there’s really no zones that are interesting in this expansion, there’s nothing big to work towards or reveal that you wouldn’t already know or see coming. I.E Revendreth if you’ve read the Dungeon Journal for Castle Nathria, or done any other questline in the game like the Worgen starting zone.
Endgame at the present isn’t really interesting either. Do your emissaries which have changed, do your covenant quests, get your soul ash cap and just farm stygia or mindlessly slam dungeons to get the gear.
You’re basically playing 8.3 with a Shadowlands coat of paint.
I feel perma stuck in Bastion. It feels endless. But, I’m holding back my gogogo brain and forcing myself to read, to explore, and todo side quests.
And good grief, Necrotic Wake was a hard dungeon last night. It took 4 different tanks to finish. Wiped on each boss especially on stitches. We’d down a boss and one would leave.
I must say though if you had more than one DK, it would be cake with control undead lol.
Remember the Bad Bud!
Thankfully yes. Worst starting zone in modern xpac history
Ah yes, that one. Why did they need us to throw the hammer for that anyway? Are the Kyrian completely incapable of doing anything else while flying?
Kyrians look like warriors but play more like chicken paladins
I feel rather bad for the people who couldn’t get into the leveling experience. I’m having fun and they’re not.
