Does Horde have a distinct advantage in AV?

Elite NPCs mixed with players is much more difficult than alliance having zero elite npcs to deal with, or a bridge, or tons of archers in towers.

Wait till horde use they’re cave like they did an era and have a 95% win rate again.

NPCs mean nothing.

Well right now if we’re in each others base at roughly the same time, alliance automatically wins because while we’re killing off 27 elites they are pulling the boss since they don’t have elites to deal with.

Not really the NPCs literally mean nothing you can literally avoid having to kill any of them by having a kiter.

Like both sides can literally win in six or seven minutes

Isnt it funny how people theorize about the AV balance, as if its some mystical thing, when we already know exactly what happens from era?

And more importantly in a zerg the point isn’t to win anyways it’s to maximize honor per hour.

And even lose horde are burning 4 towers and killing balinda.

So far, this is what’s happening in almost every AV, I’ve played. We mount, we ride to just close to Belindas, we get cut off by the horde, our towers get capped as Belinda is going down, they double back on our towers and win.

The only way they can do this is if they have a distinct advantage to get to our area quicker than we get to theirs. Considering Belinda/Drek are priority targets every time, you don’t find that to be advantageous?

Yeah I mean we’ve seen it before.

There was a 9,000 post thread that I linked above from era started by a horde character with over a thousand games

Ill tell you what happens in mine. It begins with 3-5 horde sitting in their cave coming up with fresh and new idea to play defense. Picture beavis and butthead. A generic undead mage assists in intercepting alliance slow mounts near bal, resulting in 5-10 dealths. Simultaneously, a lv 53 dreamscythe male orc warrior caps SHGY, ensuring that all dead alliance go to SPGY. It now snowballs out of control as more and more players die. The horde 5 man of defenders now begin to blame the alliance for turtling, ignorant to what they’ve done. /afk

Only other BG id say is horde favored is prolly premade wsg vs premade.

Ele shammy is by far the best flag killer in the game hands down.

Wait till BWL when they get their 20% damage clicky.

I don’t think many flag carriers are going to survive a +20% damage trinket clicky with ele mastery CL+ES combo

"Meanwhile horde have a stupid bridge to cross which a few mages and hunters can hold an entire horde team from entering, plus the archers which do a ton of damage as you simply cross the bridge, everything is very spread out, and you have an entire town full of elites that aggro whenever you’re there.

But yeah, horde have the advantage because they start 20 yards closer to the middle.

For years Ally have been trying to convince people they have it worse in AV because they know what a disgusting advantage they have."

This. Its actually really sad that any ally think horde has the advantage, delusional.

I outlined the advantage.

If you don’t think having the best graveyard in the game in the middle of the map isnt a massive advantage idk what to say, you’re just biased.

In era horde had a 95% win rate, to would have alliance go from 0 tet to exalted and not win a single AV game.

Ally literally rez at SPGY which is 2 minutes away after horde soft cap SHGY…you’re telling me that’s fair?

Meanwhile horde rez at their cave in the middle of the map as soon as IBGY is soft capped.

Also funny the only faction to take massive nerfs in AV going into TBC was horde, i wonder why?

Yeah they changed the horde starting location in tbc just because they felt like doing it.

Imagine typing a post this long, just to be 100% wrong with proof.

Because Blizzard plays alliance and they wanted even more of an advantage!

That ain’t even the biggest nerf to them, the biggest nerf is they can no longer rez in their cave until they control no other graveyards.

What that does is now when ally soft cap ibgy they no longer rez 25 seconds away 20 at a time.

They now res 10 at a time at fwgy.

yes, their cave is incorrectly placed.

How does this topic come up and STILL have any debate after 2019?

2019 horde won 90+% of all AV’s.

  1. Start cave
  2. IBGY
  3. IBGY Choke
  4. Skip bridge with wall jumps behind ally base (took ages for them to fix)
  5. Horde can kite the marshal’s while fighting Vann by just jumping on and off the wall

C’mon man. This game has been out for 20 years. That’s too long for you people to still be ignorant.

Both factions easily and completely ignore the npcs, ally have a slightly easier time capping towers due to archer placement but you can do the same thing in every single ally bunker. It’s not like the minelayer is still around either.

We had the same debate in era.

In 2019 horde had a 90%+ win rate, then ally stepped thru the dark portal and all of a sudden it was back to 50/50…

Lmfao

It’s insane honestly.

Spot the difference challenge (impossible)

I always hear horde has the advantage but I’ve maintained around 60% win rate as alliance since the first week, averaging 15-20k hph the whole time
