It doesn’t take long to get about 340 ilvl then u can bg like crazy.

Honestly, just play and gear comes. You get 395 gear after most BGs. Though if you’re a fresh 120, it might be lower, but it doesn’t take long to get to a higher ilvl just through BGs.

Can’t say most when it’s random. You get gear from bgs randomly.

I’m just speaking lately. Feels like they increased drop rates, possibly to help people catch up.

you dont get 395 by default, that only comes when you average ilevel is already up there. i got a piece in the 200s at 120 before the patch.

Yes, did you read my last sentence? Ilvl scales as you get higher. Same with world quests.

and thats what i dont like. its just their way to make us run more WQs which i burnt out on in legion.

WQs will offer the same lower ilvl and scale up as you get higher.

but who’s numbers count? as i said the scoreboard will show the same number to both people, so one person’s numbers count more than the other’s.

Couldn’t tell you. I just know this was tested a while back. And it’s very obvious scaling is in place otherwise my CB would really 1-2 shot a new 120 at this point.

i’ll never get higher though because im done with WQs.

they cant just throw daily quests at me every expansion and say theres your way to gear up. that content is played out, and its super face roll. a trained chimp could do wqs

Well yea, it’s there as an option. Or you could gear up by just doing BGs. Either works really.

i’ll just keep doing low level bgs for now to avoid that. i dont know what i’ll do when this guy is 120. reroll, quit idk yet?

i wish i could just lock exp and keep playing tbh. bfa is horrible and only the biggest fan bois keep defending this

i liked what they did with gear in wod, legion was passable but not great. bfa is just trash

It really is. But instead of saving up honor points to get gear, you get drops.

its not the same at all. most people dont even know how exactly gear and stats work

it was pretty simple in wod, this is nothing like that. how can you say this is the same when no one even understands it without doing hours of in game testing

hell they used to tell us exactly how it works, now we hardly get a peep out of blizzard

All I want to know is how it works. That’s it. I think that is all most players really want. I think it’s a perfectly responsible request.

There shouldn’t be any debate as to whether or not scaling is happeninhg. It’s completely visible. You can see your stats changed when you enter a BG. Some go up and some go down, just like with a TW instance.

Somebody could measure this by comparing their stats before and after entering a BG, then modifying their gear and joining a new BG to see what changes and how.

It would take time and effort but if there was a team doing it they should be able to figure it out some general guidelines as to what’s happening… which stats are being scaled harder than others, etc.

I am surprised nobody has any information about this.
