Does gear matter in PVP? How so?

I don’t want you to feel as though I am putting you down.

  1. Traits some are every time you slow/knockback/cc heal them and you have shields.

  2. Did u see a healer in the area. Healers almost unkillable

  3. A tank takes a long time to kill.

How you know is do they one shot you?

first of all, i think its dumb that everyone has shields now, that was a stupid direction to take the artifact imo

on topic this has nothing to do with enemy healers or tanks. i was not one shot either, i was on a 278 rogue that had 100k health and did crap for damage.

try that yourself and get back to me with your results

Tbh, rogues have great control. It’s not always top damage that wins games.

Wait 278 ilvl what lvl?

If a 120 you don’t start scaling until like 340 or 300.

If you were 110 u would be killing 120s.

I do on the 110.

That’s what you are as soon as you ding 120. When I played my Dwarf Warlock a couple months ago and hit 120 I was 276 ilvl.

yes i have a few stuns and blind. its just kind of dull when you cant kill anything and really limits what you can do overall. maybe ill get a chance to make a great play with a stun or maybe i wont.

wait in stealth for most of the BG for a moment that may never come? some maps dont really give you this chance by their design while others make it easier. im not having enough fun overall to keep queuing

im not so sure it does this though, otherwise we would not have standardized damage on the scoreboard.

It does. As a twink I do 10k damage on my screen player a non twink only has 19k hp.

It takes 6 shots to kill him/her or more.

On the board it just reads whatever.

im talking about 120 itt, i post on this character because its what i have been playing lately. low level bgs are still pretty fun and gearing isnt an issue

Keep healers occupied. If a base match, go harass one of the bases making the other team pull some from the teamfight. If you just dinged 120, you really shouldn’t be able to kill someone who has been 120 from the beginning. I didn’t have issues doing damage on my Lock from the beginning, so it sounds like rogues just do better with a higher ilvl. I have also received 390-395 gear after every BG so you’ll get there.

Ok 120 you need to at least be 300+ before scaling starts.

340 is the best ilvl to be at 120 for ilvl scaling.

If you are below 340 you probably get wrecked.

twinks don’t count.

the problem is i can add up my damage to equal the amount shown on the scoreboard, yet that wouldn’t work if you had a different amount on your screen. if i did 10M damage, it will be 10M on both your screen and mine.

where did you hear this?

People have tested this out. Higher ilvl hit lower for less, both see different numbers.

Everything counts.

In open WPvP i killed 215k hp 120.
How?

My screen shows me doing 5k and the 120 doing 2k I am at 55k hp.

A lot more is involved. Lvl /ilvl /traits/sockets/what is equipped not equipped.

If you cannot see it I don’t know what to tell you.

Now the 120 has advantages over me as more traits if unlocked if not easy kill.
Traits matter and sockets.
Certain classes seem stronger against the mage than others. It’s whatever

Tested this out first days playing BFA on my 120s.

I hate it…

That is why I play #%** dang twink… sorry :disappointed:

When is classic coming out??? 26 or 27 Aug I cannot take BFA no longer…

Why though? It’s better than having 1 or 2 shots in the game.

i know i could get there the point of these complaints is i dont want to pve. i never want to see another WQ again

running a bunch of heriocs and lfr could get me decently geared, the problem is i want to play bgs, not that stuff. now you get crap from bgs until you raise your average ilevel

Makes me feel like nothing matters. Why lvl? Why get gear? Why even try?

Well, according to some, gear does matter.
