Knowing blizzard at this point, they will probably give us like 5 more versions of vanilla. And zero versions of bc and wrath. Just noticing the trends here. Seems like vanilla is the cool version and bc and wrath get no love. Then you have cata classic going forward, and retail.
Just looking at the info I have from the last 5 years. That and a lack of communication from blizzard also. Hard to trust people who don’t say anything.
i can confidently say now that no, there will be no tbc era. why? because of dual spec. tbc will undoubtedly have dual spec just like the current vanilla anniversary realms. well, you’re not getting a tbc era with dual spec, that’s for sure. that wouldn’t make sense. so grats, you got your dual spec. but at the cost of tbc era. hope it was worth it
Since the radio silence on this totally easy question makes so little sense to me I have to conclude the reasoning for this radio silence is as follows:
Blizzard knows they have nothing good that they release or announce as far as their game releases goes so they are saving the announcement of these easy to answer questions as some sort of big release/reveal since they have nothing else exciting to announce to their fans
Blizzard is literal trash at this point and actively hates their customers.
Just coming back to game and I’m confused… I want to stay in Vanilla, for me, TBC was the beginning of the end and virtually “retail light” and I want no part of it. What, if any, active server/s are there for permanent Vanilla if you happen to know?
Yeah anniversary fresh is the more friendly intro experience for leveling right now but sadly blizzard refuses to confirm if we’ll be allowed to keep any of these characters on classic era realms so your only safe bet if you want to play vanilla is on classic era
I just want permanent wrath classic servers. That will always be my favorite version of the game. A permanent wrath classic era server with zero dungeon finder components.
Same, although I recognize the obvious need for TBC-era as well, because so many others list that as their favorite.
In WOTLK-classic I was having so much fun raiding on an assassination rogue but never got to complete the gear fully before everything got forced into Cata. And I still had a shaman who just hit 80 that I was about to start raiding with and I didn’t even get to try that at all really. The whole timeline was way too short to do much more than dedicate to one or a few classes- but I legitimately wanted to try like every spec at 80. Given enough time, I definitely would have had a level 80 of each class.
The option to transfer / copy anniversary classic characters to permanent classic era realms pre TBC
TBC Era
Wotlk Era
Without these they won’t be able to keep the classic fresh cycles sustainable , people like the leveling and gearing journey , once , twice , maybe three times but they’ll be too burnt out to do it over and over when they can’t revisit the characters they spent so much time developing
