So I’m making a character to “goblin” out I guess you could say and help fund my twink projects and my lionheart helm/epic mount. I’ve dabbled with mage but I’m not a huge fan… that left me with DM farming lashers on a Druid or cave boss DM farming thorium on a lock ( hunter is another class I’m not super into but I know could do tribute)… anyway… recently I found out the DM lashers are immune to hurricane (nature damage), I guess that changed between classic and private servers?
So has anyone just tried farming lashers with swipe in bear form or something?
What other farming options are there for a Druid outside of mara? I kinda want to be able to do it solo… if there’s nothing I guess I’ll be going lock… until they change the pathing trick to solo the cave boss 
they will kill you before you kill them. swipe only hits 3 at a time and there are like 7+ lashers in a pack. you try to pop up and heal they will smack your cast bar so fast you will never get it off. sorry but at current gear levels its not really doable.
So what are Druids doing for gold?
Does this limit gold cap farming classes to mage/warlock/hunter ?
Skinning is a good one. Lotsss of beasts out there. You really want to leisure combo it, take up mining too.
lasher farming isnt even good in classic anyway
I’ve heard lots of people are making good money killing the lashers and farming the herbs.
So perhaps you could find their ways and follow it? Sounds like herbing will be useful to you too.
would love to know this myself. As a feral tank I’m constantly broke. server is so packed i can only do stuff like herb farming in the wee hours of the morning and most of those herbs go into potions for raid night. at this rate my epic mount is nothing but a pipe dream.
That’s the one drawback of having such high populations on servers…hard to find any farming spots. Doesn’t seem to matter what class you are if there’s no places in the open world to farm.
I just watched another classic vid of a recent hpally farming lashers for good gold and a priest told me they got their epic mount after a week of doing it, so it’s lucrative. I’m just not sure how a druid can do it now.
If I recall correctly they’re immune to nature damage now, so the thorns lasher farm is out of the window.

If you have a hybrid spec with Nature’s swiftness then i don’t see why you wouldn’t be able to lasher farm, provided you have good Bear gear for high armor and dodge.
I had a Druid alt back in vanilla so this isn’t current with Classic. But if i were to attempt it now i would open with a tick of hurricane, then jump back fast and cast regrowth on myself + rejuv and Bear it up. Use frenzied Rejuv when you get low. A lasher or two would be dead by then, then nature’s swiftness + Regrowth or max rank Healing touch.
I don’t see why that would not work.
If so that’s still not a deal breaker. Open up with Star fire instead, do a moonfire + regrowth + rejuv and Bear. That could take down one lasher fast anyway, leaving 6 remaining. Losing thorns damage is unfortunate though.

Confirmed. Which means no thorns and no hurricane .
Those are great to have but are not make or break for lasher farming as a Druid, pre-hots, frenzied rejuv, NS + HT can very likely do it. It just might take to long for it to be worthwhile.

There’s a video released by Skarm - a very prominent Tank druid player - talking about lasher farming as a druid.
Thats what barkskin is for. Makes you immune to pushback. Lasher farming is easy on a druid. HotW ns druid so you can insta heal and innervate -> barkskin -> regrowth -> rejuv -> db form macro.
I skinned millions of beasts and nobody wanted the skins. I vended everything out.
It was something. But if 75-90% of the beasts had given loot instead of an empty loot window, I might have stuck with classic.
Every time you find something worth farming they nerfed it to make it not worth your time to play classic. It worked. I’m not playing anymore.
