Does druid get worse?

yeah I know opposite of what some classes get asked about but I wonder does druid get any worse ?

once they hit 20 and get kitty maybe a a few levels they are doing top damage in most dungeons from what I have seen all the way upto 50.

I remember in vanilla trying to kitty dps and it was always frowned upon, but here I am seeing them top dps, bringing amazing utility in innervate, offheals, battlerez (when they aren’t lazy butts and buy reagents)

soo yeah, I feel feral druids are amaz! thoughts ?

They don’t top damage at 60, and have to work harder and farm more than most other people to do above average DPS. They’ll still never compare to a warrior, rogue, or mage. You don’t scale super well and gear available to you isn’t really good until AQ past dungeons, too.

It’s fun, but you don’t scale nearly as well as the top three. You still bring more utility than them though and have flexibility.

I personally am very happy even at 60. If I was super tryhard and used MCP on every boss with all buffs I’m sure I could be in the top 5. I am currently offtank/main tank depending on the fight and am cat when I don’t need to tank. I often dps in my tank gear just in case and do decently. You will not be topping meters without full tryhard consumables and manual crowd pummeler.

is the deal with charges that you farm many of these maces and use up the charges and throw them away?

You can vendor them if I remember right, but it doesn’t sell for a lot.

“Full try hard consumes” are great, until you see a rogue/warrior use the same things and double your damage output.

Druids can’t cleave in cat form, and MC has a lot of cleave fights. Single target they don’t get close on horde side because they don’t get WF.

In short: cat dps isn’t good, but bear tanking is and their healing is good in resto/heart of the wild/moonglow specs.

well played druids are fabulous in 5 mans

sometimes it is outright dps and other times it is for things no one really knows

but everyone tends to stay alive and things get done

Out of all the, “meme specs” cat is the best. It’s better than Ret, Balance, Elemental and Enhancement.

Unless you’re running 2 feral na raid a warrior will never surpass a druid that is trying hard not yet at least not till naxxramas due to the fact that Warriors don’t built the threat that’s needed for a DPS Warrior to maximize their DPS right now. Also if there wasn’t a debuff limit Druids would be a lot better in DPS ferocious bite sucks in comparison to a bleed effect… but you need to be very creative as a druid due to the fact that you have no way to reduce glancing blows, also you have DPS classes spreading lies which make it extremely difficult for us to get the gear we need like Hand of Justice not working for feral when it does

I don’t actually believe this at all. Maybe, maybe as a Horde, but with Salv the Warriors have a lot more breathing room.

Druid is the best class, as it can do everything.

It’s a bit hard to decipher your post, but if you mean “will Druids top the damage meters at 60?”, the answer would be “no” to that.

I thought they could cleave with rip? despite it being a bleed it goes on targets that are immune to bleeding (believe this was the case in vanilla too)

edit:nevermind upon reading seems the debuff slots won’t allow for it anyway

the helm has no use to a rogue/warrior and I can’t see warrior farming Pummler, wouldn’t it be less effective for a warrior too ? I guess I am just looking for excuses ot main a druid because at least at lower levels they seem great damage deals

Feral druid isn’t good, but it has the potential to ascend the trash tier where ret paladins, enhancement shaman, etc. reside with massive effort.

Ferals cannot innervate, offheal, or brez while in cat form.

I’m only 45 but I love it

I dont know about the whole topping dps thing. Im usually the lowest of the dps classes lol. I feel like its impossible to compete against a warrior or mage dps in dungeons.

But whats great is the utility. Off heals, Root, and I can easily take over as a second tank if needed, and i mean easily because you take no damage in bear.

Even as feral i can heal ZF. In a couple more levels I’ll try my hand at healing Mara but I keep hearing that healing will be tougher without proper talents soon.

Druids are best as flexible players.

Feral dps is subpar in raids. Many guilds will bring one for buff and utility, but it takes a lot to be a middle of the road dps. It’s why I’d go with being willing to tank and heal as well. Some fights you need an extra decurse. Other fights a druid tank is great OT for threat and not needing to be hit the entire fight to keep up threat.

Be flexible and you’ll do more. We’re great flag carriers and flag defenders in BGs.

I don’t think a feral druid adds anything to a raid but it doesn’t take away as much as some of the other hybrids, as it can make up for some of its short comings with a modest buff to melee.

Battle rez, Innervate, decursing, off tank, another healer…yeah, you’re not knowledgeable on this subject.

Why would someone want a bad druid off tank when they can have an actual raid composition with actual warriors? Please don’t try to be cool.

Why would someone want a mediocre warrior like you when they can have a flexible druid? Try to be a halfway decent player.
