Does Bliz want returning players to quit?

I think it was a strange decision to bump up the ilvl requirements of Heroics but they’re really not a relevant part of gearing.

The gameplan for post 80 gearing is basically WQ content > delves > M+/Raid.

I don’t believe I said that. I’m just saying it’s an alternative.

Brother I literally hit 80 and queued for heroics like two hours later and i am so casual.

Do World Quests that award gear. World quests are unlocked when you finish the main campaign. Do special assignments. The first 2 boxes you get from special assignments or the special weekly quests usually have gear in them. Boxes from the world events (like Theatre, Azj’kahet pact, etc) will sometimes have a piece of gear also.

Also do the questlines that award rep to get 3 easy pieces of veteran track gear for 2600 resonance crystals each. Resonance crystals are a secondary currency earned from doing lots of things, especially the weeklies in the north of Hallowfall.

You get more when you increase your spec trees. You can also buy mats you need, or hire a blacksmith with more knowledge than you for your specific need.

You don’t need to upgrade the gear, and it is advised to not upgrade gear you don’t intend to keep. This would mean save your stones and crests for really big upgrades. The upgrade system is there so that if you don’t get any drops, you can still progress your character.

You can get the hang of it, keep trying. Ganbatte

it takes like 5 minutes to get a character to 567.

Legitimate gripe. I have also noticed odd timings of loot drops including skill levels from resources. I think they have mobile-minded devs giving input to micromanage variables so that we will be frustrated. I wouldnt put it past em- but i wouldnt let it steal my peace either. Reaping = sowing

My BDK was blocked out of Heroic, I did 5 Timewalking for the chest, got a new chest piece, then suddenly I could queue for Heroic. It was kinda weird.

I think it’s because I had a few Heroic pieces already plus full dungeon normals, so getting a 600 piece bumped it up more than I thought.

The main “unlock” campaign in TWW is the quickest one I can remember and is not confusing. You’ll live.

I have leveled multiple 80s and they were all able to do heroic when they hit 80.

Little trick there… Hallowfall light even chest always give you a piece of 577 gear even if you’re not 80, special assignments can be done prior do 80 and just open the box at 80 and do delves.

i hate this “it’s not possible” sht. i hit 588 0 queued content at all on my rogue, after 1 heroic dungeon and 1 wing lfr i got up to 592, and now ive done only 2 heroic dungeons, 0 normals, 2 mythics, and 2 wings lfr and im 596. Not even trying to gear up to 588, but after that yes. You have plenty of sht you can do… renown levels allow purchase of 584 gear, weekly quest drops from wq etc give pinnacle, delves give so much, and you can p easily get keys early if you pay attention to how you get them. Can also craft some gear if you have the prof (lw i crafted a 593 belt at 33 lw knowledge) or kill rares for drops ive seen go to 577, etc.

Like seriously, its not the game its you.

…I don’t understand what this means… :face_with_spiral_eyes:

If I complete the main storyline on one character, will I be locked out of endgame delves , heroics, etc if I do not complete the main storyline on an alt?

Basically you do the campaign once. The. Bring in your alt and select he option to skip it. Then level to 80 whilst making sure you don’t do and WQs. Then once you hit 80, do all the WQs. This saves your WQ gear for max ilvl. At that point, you’ll be able to run heroics.

I haven’t touched crafting this expac due to how much more confusing it is compared to DF

Dude you clearly are to simple minded to play, just go cry somewhere else its pathetic and old

i finally figured out how to swap my char on forums lol, why is the button to “change character” not on mobile website bliz?

You can run WQs to get better gear.

How?

Getting to 80 sure but, 600 ilvl. I don’t see how you do that without other already level characters or being carried through mythic dungeons or Heroic raids and funneled gear.

These two things somehow don’t go together.

I mean I did the main quest because I always do, but how I got from normal to heroic to LFR was world quests (some specifically give gear), delves and main quest awards.

And every time I dip into Classic I remember I still have slow flying because I can’t afford the upgrade and don’t have time to do the grind to afford it. So, yes, retail is still a grind but it’s not that at least

Oh right I could do SO MUCH outside of the meta stuff in TBCC and WotLKC. It was truly eye opening how many options I had.
In TBCC for example I could run heroics I didn’t need anything out of or grind dailies/primals/whatevers for gold. The variety of stuff to do at cap was just stunning.
Then in WotLKC it was even better, because I could log in every day, do my daily heroic/gamma/whatever for my badges, maybe run VOA on reset if I still need anything from there and then engage in the thousands of things I could do in the game which is grinding obsolete reputations, grinding gold or ruining people’s time in bg’s.
It was amazing, so many gameplay options.

I mean it is less grindy than classic. That is for the truth. But there is still a grind.
