Does Bliz want returning players to quit?

Was the person that told you played a troll? Please tell me they are!

Comments like Kroch’s are just indicative of the mindset of the really vocal players who rush through the level to get to end game. They consider all the leveling to be wasted time. I would suggest to them that there take the time to enjoy the game. I wish we could return to the game before e-sports was ever thought of. When the game was a Game, and not the almighty rush to see who beats a computer enemy first. It’s not like that boss won’t be there later.

I beg to differ. I am 100 on Alchemy and 100 on Herba. I am 24/7 flasked with 3 hours buff per flask as Alchemist. I have massive amount of Battle Pots which I use for Rares, M+ Bosses, Raid Bosses and Delves Bosses. And unlimited amount of Healing Pots.

On Cooking and Fishing, I am like 60% but I can be food buffed 24/7 with an hour of buff per food instead of 30 min as Panda. I would continue to progress these.

And the cost to do them? Nothing. And I have extra mats to produce income on AH. The income would be used to pay for my enchants, gems, etc.

How would I beat Delves Bosses, M+ Bosses and Raid Bosses without a buff and without enchants I paid from Profession income? I do my business and you do yours.

They do though. Their is two ques. Regular Tww heroics and seasonal heroics that drop 584 gear. The seasonal dungeons shares the dungeons as mythics do.

So if you don’t have time to gear more than one toon
 Just play your main.

Nobody has to play an alt. I have 6 lvl 80s. 5 of them are ilvl 580-585 and the other is 576.

It takes time to get what you need for multiple toons. If I just played one I would be 606-610 for sure without even trying hard.

You are trying to do something your schedule just won’t allow. It stinks but that’s what is going on.

As for the storyline
If you did the quests while levelling you should have finished a lot by lvl 76. Then finished the rest at 80. It takes 60-90 minutes to finish the storyline at 80 if you did the rest while levelling.

I did it on all my toons because it gives valorstones and crests to upgrade your gear.

You are upset because you want gear but don’t want to play the game.

In SL and I think also in DF, once your main completed the main storyline, your alts could skip it and just level via side quests, WQs, dungeons, etc.

Are you saying this has changed, and every single alt now has to complete the main story line to unlock endgame delves? :grimacing:

I’m a pretty casual player, that only plays maybe 4 hours a day, if that.

I’ve only done a few dungeons, but just follower ones, and gotten one piece of gear. The rest I got from doing bountiful delves at T4 and just doing weeklies. It doesn’t take long at all, since your first 2 weekly quests a week have 584 gear (upgradeable) in the chests. Plus you can buy 584 pieces from the rep vendors at renown 6, which doesn’t take long either.

I’m at 580 iLvl, and gearing outside of dungeons has been easy and fast. I’ve never even done a heroic, lol.

They weren’t getting the participation numbers they would need to show Microsoft that the money spent developing delves had been worth it.

Good thing they make no sense as far as “progression” or a “learning curve” for people who don’t know the dungeons yet. Better keep them out of dungeons completely until after they are geared up enough to skip ahead to mythic+. Then you guys will be able to complain that they weren’t born knowing the dungeons like you were.

Well, they actually are saying they want you to play the game their way. Players have different ideas of what they would like to do in-game. In an MMO that should be respected and encouraged.

Blizzard’s been funneling everyone into M+ since Legion came out, so
welcome to the club, I guess?

It’s only now that the dungeon enthusiasts are experiencing what everyone else has been going through.

I’m confused. Is this or isn’t this expansion “alt-friendly”? They told us it is, but you seem to be describing it as intended to keep people who can’t play 24/7 from playing their alts the way they want to play them. Sounds like a major downgrade to me.

I mean it’s only been about 3 weeks but a lot has happened

well, i am old and handicapped. dragonriding is too hard for my hands, so as soon as i could i did the main quest chain so i could get tbc style flying in tww. i also did world quests as they appeared. anyway, i am now 580 and i dont run heroics or raids. i just did the main quest chain, a few delves, follower dungeons, and world quests. the upgrade system is easy and accessible

its cool tht we have options but its a crap attitude to take away options as well to force people into the other content.

Classic takes a grind to level. Then you have to grind reps and 5 mans before you can grind 10 mans so you can do tier 1.

I actually replied to someones comment explaining that I enjoyed leveling when compared to getting gear just to get other gear. Its a stupid system. My failure in all of this was losing complete interest in the horrible alliance story line as a horde character. I stopped playing it pretty quickly after I, and undead character had to help orphans? Stupid. More bad game design.

Which if you don’t do the bad main story line you don’t get access to anything. The developers egos have gotten in the way. They are forcing people to play the game how they want them to. IMO its a direct conflict with the idea of what an MMORPG is.

There’s no factional storylines here. We start in Silithus, then Dalaran, then Khaz Algar

In my op it is alot more grindy. Just in a different way. Like the amount of daily bullcorn you got to do in retail now to get mounts and stuff like that, as well as all the random bullcorn pop up adds thrown in your face now. Like look at this. Look at that. Oh do timewalking today kid. Oh wow, new expansion out now, here is what to try. I legit feel like I have a virus half the time. But then I remember that it’s just advertisement pop ups. I can’t stand it.

It’s always telling you everything. Holding your hand.

Now, if we talking leveling. Yah. It isn’t grindy what so ever. It’s easy as heck. Been that way since cataclysm. Whenever I play retail, I play slowly and stupidly on purpose. I mean, because I like leveling. Flying is everywhere. Not for me. I never fly. If I am going to northrend. Im taking that zeppelin. Old fashioned all the way. The game just doesn’t make sense if everything is basically done for you.

that’s not grind. that’s playing the game.

I have characters over 580 now and I don’t think I have gotten one piece of gear from dungeons. I only do the one dungeon a week though. All I do is the events, the machine, the hallowfall, the theatre and the pact and normally the weekly. Two of those should give you a piece of gear.
