Does BC remove any quests?

As someone who doesn’t raid much and mainly is interested in experiencing the original questlines, I’d like to know if BC Classic will remove any quests from the Original Classic…?

Any quests, really, but I’m especially interested in the chain about Varian involving Trias which goes to Dustwallow Marsh, and any continuations of it (I’ve never done past capturing the traitor in the marsh; I think I must have done it in WotLK cuz it didn’t continue past that.)

No, TBC did not touch Vanilla quests… so if you start level 1 you should be able to get all the quests from original wow.

I don’t recall them removing any quest chains in the original TBC.

If you want to check a specific quest chain, see if it’s in the database on tbc Wowhead or tbcdb.

I am right there with you. I was hoping to be able to do anything I missed the first time around. Some of the members of my guild have been putting together a group for anyone who will want to pursue older quests, etc. that require two or more players to complete.

Do know that although the quest are all still there, some of the “Group” quests will be changed as most of the elite quest mods are no longer elite mobs.

This is not true, they didn’t nerf elite mobs when TBC came out. That happened I believe with cataclysm… I remember because i farmed the Troll Elite area for gold back in TBC…

Nope, it definitely happened in tbc. Patch 2.3 I wanna say? Don’t quote me on that. Elite questing areas will more than likely be nonelite at launch

It was a change in TBC in patch 2.3.0. TBC Classic is starting at 2.4.3 so most likely elite mobs in the 1-60 zones will be reduced to non-elite.

  • Many elite creatures and quests in the level 1-60 experience have been changed to accommodate solo play.

It’s already been shown but yeah it was definitely in TBC.

I remember when I first started playing Vanilla on a private server I went to go do the Stromgarde quests solo and promptly got my ask handed to me and was confused because I vividly remember going through there on my own in TBC with my BE Hunter.
