Does anyone remember when

Plenty of examples in the thread.

The paths we’ve been down are incredible. You can chalk it up to trolling though. Or go back and catch the whole disaster, it gets pretty silly near the end

Yes, I remember it.
The last time this was the case was September 24th, 2012.
MoP and everything after hasn’t required methodical CC-ing.

It’s probably time to move on.

I am just in awe at the lengths people are willing to go to not be able to admit that the game is just simply more complicated now than it was in Vanilla.

Just, why though? Like, we got Classic servers and saw it for ourselves. It was just objectively not lol.

Yeah idk how people can say nobody has the attention span to cc when keys are often predicated by a 5-10 minute conversation about exactly which mobs are going to be pulled and how.

This means you do care a little bit btw.

Fast = Bad = Tiktok = Attention spam problems. Or something, I guess.

Was waiting for that…just didn’t feel like editing it to fix the typo. Lol. Good catch.

It’s a black and white issue. Just don’t talk about it. Plain and simple.

Will they ban you over you and your wife sharing an account? Probably not, but safer to just not mention it.

(If they ban your account and your wife and son are under the same one, they may lose their accounts as well) - So I wouldn’t puff your chest out with the whole “BAN ME BRO JUST BAN ME IDGA*!”

While being one for the written and intent of rules, the first is forbidding you from selling your account and the second one is effectively saying you are not to sell access to the game itself (which counts private servers that require you to pay to play).

Like, what on earth even is this thread?

Do these people even play this game???

I wasn’t bragging I was just honestly answering a question about my new account. It wasn’t me who got all upset and started saying I was breaking rules. I don’t do that to people. It’s ridiculous and sad to be honest. I don’t care what people do with their accounts. I don’t go poking around profiles like a weirdo. That’s odd behavior. I have multiple accounts if it gets me banned so be it. That’s just the truth.

People do normal / heroic dungeons. Encounter a tank running ahead and mass pulling, pearl clutching ensues.

Meanwhile people doing harder content are doing everything they want dungeons to be, methodical, coordinated, considerate pulls, but the catch is to do that content you’ve also gotta be good.

It started with “easy content is easy” and then went off the rails. Sprinkling in vanilla revisionist nostalgia

Back in my day we had to spam nothing but Frostbolt and Blizzard really needs to go back to making the game that technically involved and stop appealing to this TikTok generation who doesn’t have a big brain attention span like myself

That’s incredible beyond words

Idk about that. It’s very vague just mentions the do’s/don’t’s of the license being granted.
To me it reads as you cannot give your account away period as that would be transferring your rights to someone else.

Imgur

And this one as well. It mentions selling, renting, etc. but it also mentions transferring in general. They did a good job of covering all the bases with this one.

otherwise transfer any copy of the Platform or component thereof, or your rights to the Platform to any other party in any way

select a unique username and password (collectively referred to hereunder as “Login Information”). You may not use your real name as the password for the Account, and you cannot share the Account or the Login Information with anyone, unless the terms of this Agreement allow it.

The only circumstance that seems to allow it is kids. Definitely not spouses.

But you WERE the one getting all upset. That’s plain as day just scrolling through these.
Like the whole “JUST BAN ME” nonsense is unnecessary. Idk why you want to push it.

So you don’t care about your wife and kids account ALSO attached to yours getting blacklisted as well?
That’s what I’m trying to point out.

Yea there are a few clauses specifically allowing kids. Tbh it’s kind of weird they didn’t include spousal sharing lol.

I mean…ok. I certainly didn’t sit and read all that when my wife asked me if she could play…she enjoyed playing so I started a new account so she wouldn’t be behind. If that gets me banned then that’s just what it’s gonna be. I am not even gonna argue. If that’s the policy so be it. I broke the rules. I’m not gonna deny it or defend it. I didn’t even feel like doing it was in any way wrong. Nor do I feel that way even after reading this. What’s done is done. If someone reports it and this account gets banned that’s fine. I can make a new account or move on. The fact that anyone would even have a problem with it says a lot more about that person than me. How me and my wife choose to enjoy a game that I paid for twice and keep a running sub fee for both affects anyone else is absolutely beyond me. That being said, this has turned to utter nonsense and I’m gonna go find something of value to do…have a good evening.
