Does anyone actually like solo shuffle?

From my arms warrior’s perspective at 2150. When you win, it doesn’t feel like you did anything to deserve it. When you lose, often you feel like you have no control over it. Leavers are still not punished, and results in you basically wasting 30 to 40 minutes waiting in queue. This is not even considering the healer experience.

The worst part of all this, is that shuffle has replaced most other game modes, but it’s also a much worse player experience.

Gods, it’s bad.

Thats cause warriors cannot actually win legitimately. Warriors in shuffle are a distraction from your partner and used as a training dummy. Wins only come off the choices made of the other person youre with. Wins feel void cause everyones playing in 2024 while we are still playing in 2004

I really enjoy it a lot, its my fav game mode. However, im a 2100 player, i dont use addons and wont ever use. IMO the downside is to lose points when you lose, i wish we had more rewards for playing the game several hours instead of reaching some levels

It feels bad if you’re a low impact spec that can’t carry (arms; unholy; spriest ect)

It’s very fun on specs that have really solid control or control over their burst where you set the tempo

I honestly like the comp diversity?
It allows for a more interesting experience. And I like that people aren’t in voice, so more mistakes are made by the enemy team. And I like that you have multiple rounds so you can learn how the opponents play and come up with strategies and talk about what to do differently.

But like others said it matters if you have the potential to 6-0 on your own. Honestly people make so many mistakes that even if it’s an unfavorable matchup you can still 4-2 if you talk about strats before games open and coordinate trades etc

I like it when game is somewhat balanced. Not right now.

Solo shuffle is more fun than 3v3.

The game is probably more balanced now than any other time, I can’t remember when this many specs were able to succeed

Have loved it since it came out. Has the same boxing match feel of premade that makes arena so addicting, but it’s a soloQ, which is simply a superior system for gauging individual players. Then, thanks to the shuffle format, there is still an element of familiarity that develops over each series. It’s super fun to reassess between rounds based on what’s happened.

I was committed to doing only PvE this season, but I really wanted the enchant, so I spun up my main a couple weeks ago. Only intended to get 1950 and dip, but even in spite of the queue times I couldn’t help but try for 2400. Now I’m dangerously close to doing the Legend grind. The matches just engross me completely in a way that other content doesn’t.

If you don’t like it, don’t play it.

That can be true to some degree for some classes, but shuffle requires other forms of skill. Adapting to your teammates is in that bracket way more important than to expect they will act like you want them to.

But also in 3s, meta classes have an insane advantage since TWW. Never has the gap been that huge between meta and off-meta. You can do the experiment yourself. Try a BM hunter and see, if you still feel like that you have no impact.

Can we please separate Fury from Arms? If you can’t legitimately win as Fury, you should quit the game I guess.

Nope. Bm and feral are still overtuned. Some other specs have outright degenerate gameplay loops like assa garrote spam, fdk is still a design failure.

Even if they got nerfed you would just be complaining about the next outliers in line. But right now, it’s easier to list the specs that arent viable in A-tier comps vs ones that are. I think I could get 2.1k on literally anything at any spec right now, and that will probably inflate to 2.4k by the end of the season, there aren’t many seasons where thats true

There will always be the “best” spec but the difference between first and second cant be this big.

Yes bm and feral need nerfs.

Sure, maybe, but thats not really an argument against what I said.

What I said remains. Is not only about the op specs (bm feral), there are some matchups that are just not fun even when winning.

So my enjoyment of rss hinges on balance and how fun it is to fight some specs. Assa, fdk come to my top of just miserable times playing against. This is as ret and arms. Im gonna play my dk soon (unholy ofcourse) and will probably end up hating my life because the op specs are all physical damage

Well, ret has almost the same representation as BM does above 1800 (BM admittedly starts to pull away considerably above 2200), but there’s lots of classes/specs that find ret equally miserable to play against. Counter comps/specs or unfun matchups exist for everyone

If you can avoid leaping behind pillars and getting 100-0’d, and know when to let your team recover you’d be surprised how much more agency it might feel like you have. You don’t always have to push in full gas.

I remember playing a shuffle with you like a month ago and I’m pretty sure the first round you lept across map in the first second and got 100-0’d.

You just have to take all warrior complaints with a massive grain of salt. Their collective attitude is ironically a 180 from their class fantasy. No matter how many buffs to their class it’s just endless tears.

God forbid this guy realized he can 6-0 lobbies by simply being the only MS.

You are playing probably the most boring class in the game to be fair

The gameplay is pretty low quality yeah
