Does anyone actually like solo shuffle?

I like the convenience of it. Most of my time on the game is spent with family and they like leveling new characters, farming random old content for mogs, and a little M+. So to be able to just get on and que when I have time is nice.

I think there are definitely pros and cons.

I think shuffle has very real pros in that there’s zero effort required to play; you literally just press Q.
I also enjoy some of the wacky matchups that happen and games are also quicker because dampening starts higher.

I think the cons are that sometimes you get a bad RNG lobby that you could circumvent by playing a better comp in 3s and can lose rating as a result. Also, the lack of communication can cause over/underreactions that can result in losses iut of your control.

I think the biggest problem with solo queue, however, is the lack of community building that has made wow as successful as it has been. I think more solo queue modes, while popular due to lack of effort required, end up being less rewarding and much more toxic as a result.

Playing fire mage in shuffle makes me want to scream but other than that it’s p fun

Fire might be worse than destro (overall)

Yea it would be nice if every lobby wasnt a full caster lobby or with a hunter thrown in every here and there. Playing warrior near 2400 is just miserable as every lobby is infested with frost mages, aff locks, and bm hunters. If you play defensive, you lose. If you play aggressive, you get pulled behind a pillar and die. As a warrior youre playing as a fishing lure getting the opposing team out of hiding so your caster can do damage its miserable

Not unless you’re a dps. As a healer you always get rage whispered or get told you’re trash.

Yes, good frost mages are horrifying. Two sides to it though. Getting trained by a Fury/BM as aff isn’t always a great time either.

I do think most wars have a tendency to over extend.

I think this is the hard part to assess.

Some classes like frost mage are S tier with a feral and great with a fury war/rogue, but can struggle with a lot of other comps.

Boomy+rogue is S tier (surprising no one for the umpteenth season), but boomy + most other classes just gets run over.

We’re seeing firemage+sub rmp and rmpal (two bad dps specs) at the top of the ladder, but on their own, they’re definitely bottom tier.

id rather do 2s. Pushed up to 2k cr yesterday in 2s and at that mmr i faced the same two teams like 4 or 5 times in a row

Game is pretty reasonably balanced right now, though. :dracthyr_a1:

Is this a Kalvish x Dazed fire sub rmp? I can’t imagine a single other duo doing that.

Oo it’s Kalvish x Max, looks like Max went Assa after a bit for their later games, but they did cross r1 threshold as fire rmp with Curney.

Combust windows must be insane

Worst on spriest when everyone has a heal, absorb, or self-dispel and can negate a stack of dots/dmg so easily

I don’t feel like SP lacks any agency in SS. I won quite a few rounds this season that I shouldn’t have just on insane super low void shifts on my partner. Yeah SP isn’t ret with 5 life saves on a 30 second cd but still good

i bet you play dps

3s >>>>> shuffle

its honestly not even the same game.

shuffle is as much of a mockery of 3s as chicken nuggets is to dinosaurs

the ‘true self’ of shuffle is just that its 3 people on each side

In the process of rerolling healer actually! Thanks for your input though :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

you’re welcome, I do my best, and (try) to enjoy your new role

You’re saying you enjoy going against spriest affliction lock every game? Lol

Obviously will need a larger sample but it has only taken me a few days to realize that healing is actually fun and people just cry about everything. Could also be the class/spec as well as I’ve tried a few and some were very boring.

Will revert back in the future.

Ret is unolayable, needs to return to 10.0.7

The game is most definitely not balanced right now. They’ve done almost no tuning.

Ret now suffers from the blessing and a curse problem that Ele similarly went through.

Crusade is fun → give people more crusade uptime → now your buttons do less damage.

They made ret a dps hamster wheel and, while wings uptime is certainly fun, the spec got a lot more apm/tunnel vision because of it.
