Does anybody like time limits in M+?

If so, why?

No, they’re absolutely stupid and need to be removed.

they only exist cause blizzard is still dead set on making WoW an esport

Racing a clock is not fun. I like to explore every inch, kill everything just to see what I can find. Mythic+ is the complete opposite of that, it’s about skipping as much as possible and running as fast as you can thru the dungeon, I just don’t find that fun at all.

Why would timers in a dungeon make wow an esport?

it makes it “competitive” two teams race the clock see who goes faster why do you think they keep forcing that M+ invitational that I don’t know a single person actually watches. why do you think those leader boards exist at all

I like the natural progress of dungeons from the first few times entering and exploring, all the way to challenging yourself with beating the clock. So yes, I enjoy it and there are plenty of people who also do.

Its a good reference more than anything , people just take videogames too seriously that a clock triggers them or makes them play the game like a zergfest.

Unfortunately its the one defining variable that easily measures the “skill” of the group.

How else could you accomplish this?

It’s easy to criticize systems but if you aren’t proposing anything new then it’s just noise.

Why does the timer have to run out after 30 minutes then?

That’s what a timer does
it runs out.

I don’t mind it. It gives competitive players something to focus on and casual players can still run Normal/Heroics/Mythic 0’s.

Yes I like them, and the reason being is that, it encourages me and other people as well, to do better and improve on things such as rotation, positioning, lining up CDs, ect. Without a time limit, it wouldn’t be a challenge, because then you could take ages to complete it, and that would become pretty bland, pretty fast.

You could make it so you don’t only have 30 minutes but instead an indefinite timer, people would still be just as competitive and nobody would have to suffer.

^ well said. Without timer you can crapstorm your way to victory by just beating your head on the wall enough times.

We already have a endgame mode for that

An indefinite timer is basically no timer. Who is suffering though? If you don’t like doing it, don’t do it. Do what you like.

I have never enjoyed timed content, not escort quests with a timer, nor dungeons, or anything that is timed other than time I impose on myself and my friends in we are grouped.

YMMV JMHO

Why? What you said is subjective and not fact. If there was no timer then groups will just easily take their time with everything and wait on CDs and provide a little of a challenge.

I’ve not done any M+ this expansion 'cause I hated pugging 'em in Legion and haven’t found a GUild to really gel with.

From my limited experience.

Time limits kinda give an added layer of challenge or something a group can test themselves to do quicker or whatever
it’s like in the console games that have timed modes
and I’d go challenge myself then go try to beat my own record.

I do think a timerless option added to that would of been ok and not have keys dead if someone left.

Anyway, in today’s day 'n age, lots more people are in a ‘rush’ and don’t want to stay in dungeons for an hour +.

That’s not true at all. That’s just a rhetorical device used to dismiss criticism. It’s possible to not like something without having a specific idea on how to change it. Though it can inferred that the idea is just to remove the timer.
