To all the people saying that there is no challenge without a timer. We’ve had no timer for over 10 years, are you saying pve offered no challenge then?
I didn’t say it was a fact. I said they should be removed because I dislike the gogogogogogogo mentality of M+. Bliz could come up with a different substitute for the timer.
I would tank more keys if there was no timer.
Yes, its a fun challenge.
Nope. Pretty much why I don’t do mythic content. Play this game, videogames just to kickback, and relax. Already under a timer at work. Don’t need it in a leisure activity like a videogame.
Honestly don’t care, can be stressful to some I suppose…some hate it some like the challenge it brings to higher keys…
we have already a relaxed opton, its called completion groups, it still gives one piece of gear at the end
It encourages “go go go” mentality and discourages being patience which is the real key to success . Players were still going “go go go” before , now it just made worse by re-enforcing it .
Maybe the Aoe cap is a good thing to fight against this while keeping the timer . However Blizzard’s intent is obviously not the same.
Not really a fan of them. However, they need a measuring stick for the gotta go fast crowd.
Because it’s a 30 min timer.
For the most part yes, I mean once one was max level gear it was face roll the timer does make it challenging in that regard…
I do not, and have never, enjoyed the timer. Even when Challenge Modes first came out and I did all of them for Transmog set/mount/title/portals, I just never found the timer part to be fun.
I don’t have a good answer on how it can be changed or how to prevent people from just waiting for Bloodlust to be up for every boss fight. I just know that I get literally zero enjoyment from there being a timer in my dungeons.
Yup, I hear you, I think the timer still being there has an adverse reaction to those that are already hesitant to do M+. Just sayin’.
in terms of dungeons, yeah, at the X.2 we always zerged the dungeons and become more of a chore than anything. remember back in Wrath the only dungeons worth doing were the one in trial at the trial patch, then it become mindnumbing easy, then the 3 from ICC but after a month they were a snorefest and only worth because of badges.
M+ gives the dungeons a new purpuse and extend their life.
And what about the fifth time? The 12th? The 42nd? You act like you’d be just as invested in your 100th hour long dungeon crawl as you would you first and that’s pretty disingenuous.
Yup, timers, or timer mechanics a’la sanity from visions… really killed my interest in an already annoying bit of content. I think they can set rules for stuff like lust or simply create an escalating difficulty in content w/ out the need for timers and I’d enjoy that more.
Torghast seems to be SORT OF going in that direction.
And why should we cater to the people who don’t want to do keys over the people who do?
Adding a ‘timer-free’ option isn’t hurting anyone who wants or likes the timer. Both can exist in tandem. It’s not catering, it’s trying to see more people try different end game content. Not a bad thing IMO.
Regular, Heroic and +0 have no timers
Timers take all the fun out of a dungeon for me, I don’t want to race thru them. I understand the enrage timer on a raid boss and most of the time they are a non issue, if they are our group normally is just under geared, but I never feel like a raid boss is a race like I do in mythic+. I don’t run mythic+ and I never plan on doing one. It’s great it’s there for the people that like them.
it already exist, you can just finish the dungeon and get a piece of equipment without meeting the timer. in the LFG they are called completion groups, usually on mondays you see them
