Does anybody else not talk in Wow anymore? Scared of being Offensive?

I really don’t understand threads like these. Like are you afraid you’re gonna slip up and share one the bigoted beliefs you actually have? Cuz it’s really not that hard to not cuss or just be nice…

No, I say things all of the time. I don’t worry about being offensive because if I say something someone doesn’t like, its very unlikely to be bannable, and I just don’t care what they think. I have plenty of empathy, but I take the approach that it’s not up to me to protect anyone else’s feelings. We’re mostly adults here and if we can’t remove ourselves from certain situations and get on with life then we have seriously deviated from the path somewhere.

That’s not to say I go out of my way to be offensive or anything. I try to be civil and have a good time with everyone I meet. I just don’t believe in going to extremes one way or the other. And giving yourself anxiety over trying to please everyone is an extreme.

There’s probably something hip and intellectual here that I am missing, but first thing I thought of was SimCity

I might have missed something myself, I thought you were referencing audacity and I wanted the closest word I could get.

Would actually be a pretty cool name for a city builder/traffic sim, though. I imagine my population finds me audacious when I bulldoze hundreds of homes to make room for a 10 lane highway.

Oh wait you have the name Audacities?!

Yeah, logged in and picked it up when I saw your comment lol.

Might put it on a warrior and make her Audacities of the Alliance.

ohno, did it just like execute HTML or something? :dracthyr_blob_dance_animated:

It’s unfortunate that I wasn’t around during that otherwise I would have posted so many fox pictures and it would have been great  :dracthyr_yay_animated:

That’s so cool!

Was a total “I got worms” dumb and dumber moment for a moment there for me.

“Moment for a moment.” Yeah, I’m not all there right now

Nah, you’re all good. I said what I said with like, no context lol.

No, how dare you try and offer conciliatory support here. Let me become mired in my own reflection of confusion

Lol

Do you have Sensibility?

Lol yes! That xD

I have Sensibly. Not quite the same, though.

I legit just type in words for my names lol.

I’ve never been banned or reprimanded in this game for anything I’ve said but that’s probably because I make absolutely sure I followed the rules.

I don’t go out of my way to talk to people unless they specifically try to interact with me. Recently was given some leather boots so I said thanks and the druid was on their way but sadly it was on my hunter so I saved it for my rogue.

Was happily surprised though when I noticed it was a transmog I didn’t have yet so that was awesome.

Plot twist, all names have words :face_with_open_eyes_and_hand_over_mouth:

(Yes I know what you meant but felt compelled to be smart)

Op’s name checks out.

I take offence to this thread.

If this is true then I highly doubt you were talking to anyone before, tbh.

I will never understand how people can struggle to not be offensive. Like…it’s not hard. It’s not hard to be decent to other people.

The things people tend to get in trouble for saying are rarely accidental. That’s the thing with text communication. You can’t accidentally let something slip. You have to think, you have to type, then you have a moment before you press Enter. That’s a lot of chances to realise what you’re about to put out into the world and to decide not to do it.
