Rarely, but when I do it’s only out of curiosity, and that is to see whether I have competition. No words are exchanged. I just take a gander and that’s that. I just like to know what to expect is all.
Anyone notice that people arent here in defending their win rolls over that <430 ilvl character because they can now see that they’re now the 480 in their own stories where they lost and had to complain about it.
Mostly neutral and neutral-positive responses.
I mean, if you want drama, it can easily be arranged.
Nah, just here for enlightment

Only time I inspect someone is if I think their gear looks neat and I want to see what it is so I can try to get it myself.
You get carried in M+ anyways so why even talk about it. Straight 20s all across the way for every season you have ever done it ever while everyone else you run with is doing their keys levels above yours. Now you be trolling Grizzle when they ask a legit question.
Which you have done hardly any at all since 2010.
im about to do lfr on my paladin because the lfr version of the belt I want matches my paladin’s xmog perfectly.
I will not be regarding anyone’s ilvl when I roll need if and when it drops.
Several of my guildmates that I run M+ with like trying to push higher keys, but 20 is fine with me, I haven’t even made an effort to attempt 21 or higher, nor will I. 20 was perfectly fine and I don’t need anything more.
I hit need if it’s an upgrade for me strictly based on the iLvl of the item versus the iLvl of what I have already.
If what I have on is the same or a higher level but I want the appearance I hit Transmog.
If it’s the same or worse than what I have on and I have the appearance I hit Greed.
It doesn’t matter if someone has an even lower iLvl than I do if it was an upgrade for both of us and we rolled Need against each other, because we both needed it for an upgrade. Which is different than someone who “needs” the appearance, the gold, the D/E shard, etc, because that’s literally how the game has worked and the common etiquette used during all the periods where need-versus-greed rolling happened in the last twenty years until the developers decided to let people upend those norms, for reasons.
Hope that helps resolve your very carefully worded and entirely rhetorical question.
I don’t care. I roll whhen I want something.
Whenever someone asked if they can have X or Y, historically if I didn’t need it, I’d trade it to them.
Then there were those incessant whispers that almost demanded it lol
I think I stopped after that, caring and responding.
I scanned details and passed on things accordingly. Plus I knew the general progression of everyone I raided with. Though being 10+ ilvls above everyone else makes that easier.
straight 20s all across the way for every season you say.
in reality: only one +20 ever done before this season. an Upper Kara +20 back in Legion.
you got me confused with the wrong guy, Billy boy.
You have 18s and 19s done as well. Not straight 20s all across the board.
And also @ OPs post. I think many people run LFR for mog sets. Too annoying and tedious to get them using marks or any other form of the current currency later on.
I highly doubt much of anyone does LFR to gear up. You can get far better loot in any norm raid and those usually run much smoother too. I do it to see the content or simply to mog up. And when it is for mog, I roll need on certain things. No one is using LFR gear to do anything that they couldn’t do by getting that gear from just about anywhere else.
Na. You’re the one who follows Glinda and Asma around almost every time they need backup on the forums. Trust me when I say, the vast majority of us know exactly who you are.
She is a good witch.
Is a lock and rogue in WoW.
I don’t roll need on it unless it’s an upgrade for me, and I don’t really care if 470+ are rolling need on stuff that isn’t an upgrade. Loot is easy enough to get outside LFR, so there’s really no reason to be mad about others rolling need.
The only thing that gets me are the players that just duck out without rolling at all. People who won their loot roll are stuck waiting until the timer runs out before getting their item. Just click a button, people!
If I need it, I roll need. If it’s not an upgrade, and I don’t have the transmog, I roll transmog.
Life is too short to worry about why other people are rolling.
In pugs/lfr I will roll on anything I want for any reason, including transmog. Sucks I know, but I’m not the one who decided to force group loot.
Yeah my point was that I won’t even be attempting 21 or higher, my not having the 20’s I am missing isn’t for lack of ability, I just haven’t gotten around to it, I have both the (supposedly, by what people claim) hardest and easiest keys left to 20 and neither seem like they will be much of a challenge to finish, I just haven’t. but I just as easily could have and I would be in the exact same boat as the other guy.
I only ever inspect transmog
