Do you think your actual personality was a factor in your faction choice?

For example:

Are you noble in real life? Maybe you chose to play Alliance as a human?
Do you hate people in real life? Maybe you chose to play Horde as a blood elf?
Are you misunderstood in real life? Perhaps you are foresaken, or maybe you are a big beefy muscle chad so you chose to play an Orc warrior tank? Do you like taking care of people and helping them out in real life? Maybe you are a healer?

Not superficially, no.

In a sense. I played Horde because I had been playing humans, dwarves, and gnomes in RPG’s since the 1970’s, so Horde was something new and different.

Yes

No. I’m a healer because i don’t trust other people’s skill to keep me alive

Nope. IRL friends were Alliance, I went Alliance.

At risk of sounding like an edgy teen… im certainly not a good guy. I have no interest pretending to be a beacon of all that is good and happy.

Im not a bad guy either but… just no to all that.
Horde is my faction.

When i play alliance… i play an emo elf.
Or a rough tough sailor.

No. I started on Alliance because then-girlfriend (now wife) likes to play characters that look pretty.

Once she stopped playing, I kept playing on alliance because I had more resources on that side.

Once I started double-dipping for curiosity’s sake, I kept playing mostly alliance because, and more importantly

Dwarves

I’ve played both factions roughly equally so . . . no.

No not at all. It just is more fun in game.

Maybe somewhat for my faction as NEs are into nature and the environment. My personality probably shows up more in my transmog choice. I have sort of the “outdoorsy” look going on. I shop at L.L. Bean of Azeroth.

I just wanted to be a mana vampire, my needs are simple

Nah, I play Horde in Classic and Alliance in retail for aesthetics mostly. But generally I like Horde lore more.

No, im just furry trash, so not a personally thing. Just a trash thing.

If it was based on appearance there would be a lot more male pandas.

No, it was more of a factor in choosing a class

No. My first character was an undead warlock cause I was 14 and thought zombies were cool

i like undead, vampires especially

Halloween is cool and I also like Castlevania

Forsaken calls to me

Yes.

I saw Night Elf booba, I chose Alliance.

So, I do have my reasoning for enjoying orcs specifically, though I don’t think it ties into my personality.

I liked the idea of subverting fantasy stereotypes, so in WCIII when the orcs were supposed to be trying to be good, I was super into that. I like the idea of appearing more monstrous but meaning well and wanting to protect others. There are other aspects to warcraft orcs I enjoyed as well more specifically, namely trying to better themselves for who they are vs who they used to be.

I really think BFA’s lore really hurt the Horde as a whole, specifically the orcs the most though. They already had their low moment with Garrosh, and how they could fall back into old habits, and supposedly learned from it.

Makes most of the race seem either stupid or evil. Which sucks.
