Do you think the Sethrak and Mechagnome fanbase will ever get along?

Honestly I could see 1 tribe joining the alliance and another tribe joining the horde. Perhaps the non believers of Sethrallis (faithless) join the alliance as the followers of Sethrallis would be closer to the Zandalari and the loas.

Even though you’ve gone on record saying you’d rather sethrak instead, you have also said you’d rather gilgoblins horde side for fairness if mechagnomes was an inevitability. How do you truly feel? You don’t seem angry, but you seem heavily disappointed.

The image is not of a gnome made of wood.
And you can bet your soul that Blizzard would not do something like that for the alliance, just as it showed no interest in doing anything better throughout the BfA.

Certainly, we would end up with some purple amorphous bubble being delivered to ally and the Horde, it would certainly receive draconics.

I believe that both fans can and should get along.

Poopin on other AR’s because you didn’t get the race you want has always just been a ridiculous way to go about things.

Players don’t choose the races released and Blizz ain’t going to listen to you if you’re, instead of asking for what you want, spending your time being a dick to others.

Also the Mechagnomes aren’t going anyplace. Best to focus instead on supporting Sethrak rather than what “could” have been.

The hard part for me is how do Sethrak have a fanbase? They’re a snake-man, but the defining characteristic of a snake is lack of limbs. So Naga are actually better at being serpent men than these clowns. As are Saurok, you want to get behind a reptilian race the superior option has been around since MoP.

What about a middleground for peace: Small MechaSethrak

Actually a sethrak that was still a snake with mechanical limbs would be kind of cool.

Naga are just elves with fishy bits.

Nothing there of interest to me.

Saurok are lizards and their culture isn’t the same as the Sethrak. That said I like and support Saurok AR as well.

Even got a story for mine… And three stories for my Sethrak.

To each their own.

Oh suppose I should say I wouldn’t actually balk at a Naga AR either. Lol

Yeah just delivering a dissenting opinion, the cognitive dissonance I get from sethrak is much like that experienced by mechagnome haters, apparently. A snake with legs is no longer a snake. Plus I really don’t like their culture, religious zealotry is kind of gross.

But peaceful dissent, I have no dog in the fight I guess and I’d love to see a day when there are dozens of races to choose from, so more options is never bad even if they aren’t the precise options I want.

The AR I’m dying for. Playable. Makrura. With shell mogs instead of armor. They’ll likely never do it but I’d absolutely love it, arthropod characters are sorely lacking. I miss my Thri’Kreen (the real deal mantis man) from D&D Dark Sun.

If all of the members of the unshackled became allied races, that would make my day.

Funny I was just thinking the very same thing. The unshackled are a neat clique, I love that one has a Makrura friend.

I loved playing as monsters in D&D, both as “special characters” (kind of a fast loose conversion of a monster into something resembling a PC) or as DM controlling NPCs. I’ve played insect people, plant people, lizard men, I could go on. The more exotic and inhuman the better sometimes.

Something like this would be pretty sweet to play as. Pretty much even more unlikely then naga, but neat.

Is that . . . a gilgoblin? I rather like that it’s not just a recolored normal goblin, whatever it is it looks like the sort of thing this game needs more of.

Not really an issue. Mechagnome players are happy and Sethrak fans will continue to seethe in anger unto eternity.

Its a gilgoblin that has absorbed the essence of Azshara to become a queenfish. A story character I made named Gallaxia Shellblossom. Completely fan fiction, but still fun.

That is quite cool! I love it! I used to do that too, make backstories and unique characters that weren’t just some conflation from D&D standard character creation. Keep up the good work, she looks awesome.

I see no point in arguing about it cus it’s done and over with the past is the past.

They have fanbases???

Humanity continues to disappoint me.

I love reading your ideas. They are always so creative.

Here is a few others. I won’t get into too much detail since its nt relevant to the topic at hand.

All mutations basically I came up with. I was actually thinking of making a mecha sethrak model sometime too. Just my main computer has broken down so I have to wait till I get a new one. Aquatic stuff is neat though. That is something I think many sethrak fans would love to see tbh.

Someday we may get a cool serpent race for the alliance. They may not have gotten sethrak, but someday they may get something else they really love.

You do nice work. They are still wow models but you have a unique vision. I like the seemingly additional levels of detail. I appreciate artists of all types, I can draw, kind of, but my best stuff probably looks like a cave painting. lol I wouldn’t know anything about 3d renduring so that is next level my gnome.
